United Shoe Repairing Company

Review: I randomly came across this business when I was in this neighborhood and decided to allow them to fix a partially broken heal on a shoeboot I have. The boot is made of leather and suede. When I sent a friend to pick up the shoes for me, they texted me a picture message showing me how not only did they repair guy get glue on my shoe, he also melted my shoe where the glue is melted on the heel and the front suede area. There is also an indentation on the heel where is was melted. I contact the repair man back who then explained that the glue melted on my shoe. When asked why wasn't I made aware of this when he called me to pick them up and he had no answer. This conversation was on 09/13/2014 where I asked for a refund and the gentleman stated he was not workign today but I can come get the refund Monday 09/15/2014. I was unable to make it and contacted him this morning 09/17/2014 and asked the business hours. He gave me the hours but immediately said I will not be giving you your money back. I went to the location around 1:30pm asking for the owner. The gentleman stated that he does not know her name and her husband that was there did not speak English. He offered to fix the shoe where I stated no thank you because I would rather take it somewhere else. He again stated that he was not returning my money and made a snide remark that no one should be paying that much to my shoes as if he paid for them. I am extremely disgusted and would like the service amount of $25 refunded. I would go to small claims court to get the full amount the shoes because I work a full time job and do not have extra money for court fees.Desired Settlement: I would like at least a refund of the $25 fee. I was advised to go to small claims court for the price of my shoes.
