United Studios of Self Defense Oceanside

Review: My son was enrolled at this studio. For $225 per month, my son was entitled to 4 private lessons as well as the ability to attend group class 2x per week. Upon enrollment, it was explained to me that private lessons could be made up but not group. Due to schedule and work commitments, there were several private lessons that were missed and needed to be made up. Although, the studio did schedule the make ups, rarely were they able to do more than one per week. When I made the decision to cancel, I received an email with a bill saying that I had to pay a termination fee. At this time, I asked for my options and also asked about the make-up classes that he had coming even after the end date. In the email (which I still have) I was told that they would honor all of the make up classes after the end date which was May 31st. I contacted [redacted] on May 29th. to schedule [redacted]'s Make up classes (he had 5) and was told that once his time ended on the 31st., he could not make them up. I reminded him of the email that I received promising that they would be made up and his response was that it didn't come from him. It came from his payroll company therefore he did not have to honor it. Had I known that they would not let him make up these classes, I would have pushed hard for them to find time for him.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded for the five lessons that were missed.
