Stephen Wade uses deceptive and bait-switch advertisingSpecifically: I took a KSL ad in with me to buy a car for the advertised priceThey refused to sell me the car unless I #Took their financing in total#Paid an "etch fee" of $When I refused to pay the junk fee because the used car came from their dealership five years earlier and already had the useless etching on itThe counter-offered by raising the price by $and waiving the junk feeNowhere in the advertising does it say, or even imply that you can't buy a car for the advertised price I feel it is deceptive, bait-switch advertising when a dealer will not sell the car as advertised and pours junk fees and high-rate financing as a condition of purchase

We purchased a Honda Odyssey van, we had a Cadillac escalade that we were trading in It started when we went into the Finance Managers office, Tonia, and the escalade that we were trading in was titled in my husbands name She had asked if my name, [redacted] , was on it, and we said no, and so she had said they would need to get creative She then tells us the NEW Honda only has a year 12k mile warranty, and yr 36k very limited warranty, and then gives us the sales pitch for buying the 5yr 60k mile warranty they are selling She finishes the sales pitch, and tells us how much the monthly payment would be, to which we asked what the cost of the warranty was She responded saying it is $3700, but they would be discounting it $to cover the tax credit that we would have received on our trade, but because it was titled in my husbands name, and the vehicle we were purchasing was being titled in my name, we couldn't count it as a trade in to receive the tax credit We to

In August 2014, we purchased a used van from Stephen Wade Dodge dealership As part of the sale, the dealership did the required safety inspection and passed the vehicle In a safety inspection was not required Last week we took the van in for an inspection, and found out the tinting on the front driver and passenger windows in not legal This was the tint that was on when we purchased said van After comparing the two inspections, it became apparent, the dealership just made up numbers and never actually inspected the window tinting We contacted the dealership and have had nothing but run arounds from the sales manager, Tyler Tyler basically accused me of getting the tint after we bought the vehicle He also told me if they fixed everything wrong with cars they sold, they would go out of businessYeah, now I really want to buy a car there He told me he would talk with the general manager and get back to me He now is avoiding my text messages and calls They w

During the finance phase of my recent vehicle purchase, I was presented various warranty services available for purchase I informed the finance person that I was relocating to CA within a week of this purchase He sold me several warranties, one of which was not available for use in CA Upon notifying the finance person and the general manager of my issue, the GM agreed to refund me the purchase price of that specific warranty, $ That was in January I have only received refund of the pro rated amount of $and now they are not returning my calls or emails

I bought a car from Stephen wade Nissan in St.George Utah in September they were not honest with the terms they told us the payments and interest rates were different than what was toldThey were contract loading and talked us into warranties that we canceled the next dayThe whole time we were buying the car we were told the terms was 0% interest for months and the payment would be $without the warranty and $with warrantyWe got the first bill and the terms had changed to 0.9% and payment of $The whole time we were there buying the car this was the terms told somehow we ended up with $warranties and all extras we didn’t wantWe called Dale the finance manager and he was very rude and treated me terrible and hung up on mePoor customer service and misleading salesmanship and very dishonest

Recently bought a very expensive vehicle from this dealership Beware that they charge $in non negotioble fees $of that is masked as a "benefit" - "theft protection etching" It is a thinly disguised SCAM I asked that I not be charged this, they said they pre etch all their vehicles so they "have to" charge me As one with former experience working at a dealership, and actually doing the etching on vehicles, I was already aware of what a scam this is, however hat particularly dealership I worked at allowed the fee to be optional In general was not impressed with their interactions, complete unwillingness to negotiate AT ALL, and forcing this fee on me If you have any other options I would buy a vehicle elsewhere

I bought a Infiniti Q50S from Stephen Wade Chevrolet on 7/7/for $25, For this amount, I was told I was getting a car free from defects, and with a full powertrain warranty from the factory On the ten week anniversary of owning the car and roughly miles into ownership the engine suffered catastrophic failure during a family road trip I learned from the service department at Kearny Mesa Infiniti in San Diego that it was due to engine sludge, a pre-existing condition never disclosed to me during the buying process despite me asking specifically if anything at all was wrong with the car multiple times (aside from wear and tear obviously) I also found out that this pre-existing condition had been identified by Infiniti on 1/20/and as such Infiniti voided the powertrain warranty I was promised at Stephen Wade In speaking with the used car manager, Blair Hiatt on September 26th at roughly 7:30PM Arizona time, he admitted that his staff told me there w

March 15,
I am writing to lodge a complaint against Stephen Wade Chrysler, SoHilton Drive, StGeorge, UT ###-###-####
On February while traveling back to my home in Draper, Utah after visiting with family in Arizona, my Grand Cherokee Jeep (Diesel; 24,mileage; still under warrantee) gave a warning signal that the exhaust filter was full and needed to be serviced by a dealership As the car does not function at highway speeds when that occurs I needed to stop and have it serviced before I could continue with my travels to Draper, which is in the Salt Lake City area I stopped at the Stephen Wade Chrysler in StGeorge and explained the situation with the exhaust filter In additional, I also mentioned that a check engine light had come on a few days beforeI did not mention at that time that the day before, while in Phoenix I had taken the Jeep to a dealership to check out the engine light problem A diagnostic analysis was conduct

I was looking on KSL classifieds and found a Mazda CX-for sale for $2,and so I contacted the seller Stephen Wade Mazda in St George Utah and told them I wanted to buy this vin as advertised on KSL and on their own website as I took screen shots of each and on their website there is a disclosure that the price is not guaranteed due to taxes etcbut there is no such disclaimer on KSL as the price was put on KSL by the dealer and once I notified the dealer that I wanted this car for that price they took the ads down said it was a typo and apologized and I want the dealer to have to follow through on this sale of this vehicle and to me as I am sure I was the first to respond and let them know as advertised on KSL Classifieds and would like the dealer to follow through on this purchase

I sold my Jeep Grand Cherokee to Stephen Wade Jeep on Aug for $22,200, utilizing their advertised Kelly Blue Book cash offer Est payoff to Chrysler Capital was $ Payoff was posted Sep 13, effective Sep 12, for $Title was release to the dealer on Sep by regular mail
As of Sep I have not been paid the balance due of $19,I was initially told this process would take days, it is now almost month The vehicle was advertised on their web site around Sep, it is no longer posted last I looked They may have sold it in the meantime without paying me for it
This was a straight sale of me to them, no consignment or other contingencies

I purchased an SUV from Stephen Wade The SUV needed some body work done and the sales person would not budge on helping out with the cost So unfortunately, we thought the car was worth getting fixed The salesman assured us that the work would be around $ The body work ended up being $
Then several things went wrong with the vehicle We took the vehicle in to be repaired and after waiting over hours, they told us they would have to order parts So we made an appointment to come back We live minutes away, so making a trip for repairs is not convenient So, at our second trip to get the vehicle repaired, we talk to the service staff about what needs to be fixed and they seemed to be aware hours later, we check back on the car and NOTHING has been fixed!!! Even though they were well aware of the items that needed to be fixed and even called a few days before to verify the side of the car that needed to be fixed, they claimed they didn't have the parts The sales person was supposed to arrange all of the work for us, but apparently that was too complicated
I have never seen a more incompetent staff

This is a very good example of bait and switch marketing this company purposely advertised the vehicle at the wrong price then took a deposit with commitment to sell it to us with no problem and then later in the day contacted us and said that the price was wrong they then went on to say that The price now instead of being 20,which is what we agreed to last the deposit change the price to 29,and then asked us if we still want to buy the vehicle simply put that as a $difference between their advertise price and the real price this is a good example of how they get their clients in the door and then they switch them

I purchased a brand new chevy traverse from Steven Wade Auto in St George in Dec Very shortly after purchasing the vehicle I experienced many problems with the car randomly turning off and puttering/shakingMultiple times the car was in the service department trying to figure out the problemsIt took the dealership so many visits to diagnose the issues of my brand new carOne of the issues in detail with the car was it had stopped on the freeway on an icy day in a snowstorm with my five young children in the backseatThe car shutted completely down in the middle of the busy freewayThe error lights kept saying traction control errorsHaving involved General Motors I had agreed to pay part of the parts needed to fix issues that a brand new car should not be dealing with over and overThen not even two months later after replacing the part they claimed was responsible the whole time, the car is still doing the same thing as beforeThis time service department says I have to

I am the owner of a Dodge ram In September of I had a long block engine replaced by Stephen Wade DodgeIt came with a year mile warranty In January of after miles the engine was serviced for the first time at the same dealer ship In February I drove the truck to Denver CoThe engine failed in Silverthorne Co with roughly miles on it It remained there for months After two months Stephen wade dodge picked up the truck and and replaced the engine at their dealership I now have a new dodge engine that was replaced again by dodge dealer that now has a warranty restriction placed on my vehicle by a Dodge rep that only the dealerships have access toWhich means I have no warranty I have attempted to contact Dodge and Stephen wade with no resultsVista dodge authorized a rental car after two weeks of waiting which I drove for three weeks after which Dodge denied the warranty claim I had to pay a dollars for the ren

I brought in my vehicle because my car was making a noise under the hood on the right side I paid for a diagnostic test that showed I needed to replace my month old battery and that my engine needed to be replaced I asked him why does it need to be replaced and the manager never gave me a straight answerI asked for copies of the estimate and left the business with the copy of my receipt and the copy where it shows I need to replace the batteryThe manager didn't give me the requested copy of the estimate
I drove to a business to talk about getting a new battery, they told me not to take my car to get serviced at Stephen Wade, they like to rip people off They tested my battery and it did not need to be replaced, it was in good shape
I then drove to the nearest place to get an oil changeI asked them what that noise was and they immediately told me my oil was lowI asked them if that was common knowledge and he said every mechanic knows thisI told them I took my ca
