United Water

Review: On 11/18/13 at approximately 10:00am an employee from United Water arrived to replace my existing analog water meter with a digital meter due to age of analog meter. The whole process took no more than 15 minutes. After the employee departed I wondered why my heat was not working. Upon investigation I discovered that during installation the employee had severed two wires that connect my wall thermostat to the furnace. I called their office and complained. I was told that a supervisor would contact afternoon of 11/19/13 which never happened. Typical arrogant non response from a monopoly that has no competition. I was able to reconnect the wires but since I am not an electrician I fear that there is a hazard present.Desired Settlement: Proper reconnection of wires so there is no hazard present.

On December 19th I visited the home of Mr. [redacted] to investigate the complaint to visually see. The issue was actual fact on there was wires cut to his furnace. The situation that occurred I can see that a mistake was easily made due to the wires being directly in line with our wires to our meter but there was no hazard present. Both Mr. [redacted] and I agreed that United Water would come out to fix on December 30th. We sent A General our contractor to complete the job which was done with the satisfaction of Mr. [redacted]. United Water fulfilled our obligation on the repair of the wires to the furnace.
