Account was considered closed as of Jan. 2018. Started recieving calls June 1st 2020 saying I only had two days to pay a $900 bill. Ms. White was very rude calling me a baby when I began to suffer a panic attack. I asked my life coach to intervene on my behalf and was hung up on several times. Transactions of banking total over price of merchandise. Ms. White did not share amount owed, pay off amount, etc. Ms White threatened court action more than once without clarification of what I needed to do other than pay $900 which was the original purchase price. When my coach came she said she would no longer work with new and said she was signing off on the paperwork and hung up once again. She was extremely rude, not understanding about me being on disability, and having no income. I still do not know how I owe on this account and am scared of court.

Thank you for bringing this complaint to our attention and we appreciate the opportunity to respond. Upon receiving notification of the complaint, Unity Asset Management conducted an internal investigation regarding this matter. Unity Asset Management maintains direct business-like and legally compliant practices and procedures. On 06/01/2020 we contacted Ms. regarding her account placed in our office. Ms. verified all 3 points in our verification process and we began to explain her account to her. Ms. stated that she did not recall the letter we stated that we had sent to her regarding this account but did confirm that she was familiar with the creditor and the account being discussed, as well as the date and amount of the last payment towards the account. Ms. then stated that the social security number present on this account did not match her own. We then re-verified the remaining information present to address any confusion Ms. was experiencing. Ms. then stated that she was not responsible for the account after completing our verification process a second time. Our representative stated that they could then update the status of the account to reflect “Fraud/Dispute” before the call was terminated. On 06/04/2020 we contacted Ms. again and she again verified all 3 points in our verification process. We offered to mail her out another letter in order for her to file appropriate reports with the police and other entities concerning the fraudulent activity she stated had occurred. Ms. declined the offer and disconnected the call. On 6/10/2020 we attempted to contact Ms. again to attempt to update the mailing address where she then asked to not be contacted via telephone regarding this account any longer and disconnected the call. Our representative followed company policy and deleted Ms. phone numbers from the account and placed it in a “Cease and Desist” status. We have not attempted to contact Ms. in any manner since her verbal cease and desist and absolutely no way was Ms. threatened in any manner.
