Review: Unity funeral Chapel was used for my grandmother's , [redacted] funeral and burial on November *, 2014. The contracted money for the burial services were paid to Unity as per the insurance company, TransAmerica on Novermber *, 2014. Unity Funeral Chapel alleges that a refund check issued to me and cashed on November *, 2014 in the amount of $700.00. Unity Funeral Home refuses to show me a copy of cashed check and cannot find the chapel personnel who issued the check. I picked up my grandmother's ashes on November ** and recieved no refund check. I spoke with the [redacted] on December **, 2014 and was told the same story. [redacted] was very unconcerned and discourteous. [redacted] told me that he is waiting for a copy the cashed check from [redacted] bank. This is unacceptable. I spoke with a representative at [redacted] bank and was told that it doesnt take this long. A copy of the cashed appears in your account next business day. Unity Funeral Chapel has been in the [redacted] community for many years and this is the first time I have to deal with them. Their practices are unprofessional and predatory. I am still greaving my loss of my grandmother and expected to be treated by this "[redacted] owned " business with dignity and respect.Desired Settlement: I want a formal apology in writing and the refund check .
