Hi [redacted],My name is [redacted], I am the Finance Manager here at Universal Auto Group. Due to Mrs [redacted] time at her employment of 2 months and total monthly income we could not qualify her with a bank institution. Mrs [redacted] was financed in our Buy Here Pay Here Program. We...

then sold the note to SDS, also known as Strategic Dealer Solutions, she was not leased the Dodge Journey. 2 Weeks into the loan, Mrs [redacted] brought the vehicle in for an issue which was the body throttle. She then took delivery of the Dodge Journey again. She then brought in the vehicle a second time for a separate issue,  there was a miss fire in one of the spark plugs, so we replaced all spark plugs. She then took delivery of the vehicle again for the second time. Two Months and a week later she calls our office asking for a copy of the title, due to her vehicle being impounded by the San Antonio Police Department, due to Mrs [redacted] being involved in a physical altercation with another person. We did not here from Mrs [redacted] at all for the past two months and a week about issues with her vehicle. Then on the same day when requesting a copy of the Dodge Journey Title, she says that her Dodge Journey is giving her problems again. I asked Mrs [redacted] to bring in the Dodge asap so we can see what the issue is, she replied that she would bring the vehicle when she had the time to do it. Mrs [redacted] did not bring in the vehicle, 4 days later she calls and says that the car is stalled in the road, and Mrs [redacted] abandoned the vehicle where it was. She gave me a location where the vehicle was located and said that she did not have any money to have the vehicle towed to our location. Universal Auto Group proceeded to have the Dodge Vehicle Picked up and towed to our location. We then see that the vehicle has not been taken care of and in very bad shape in and out and the motor being locked.Still trying to give Mrs [redacted] the benefit of the doubt, we loan her a 2008 Nissan Altima, with the understanding that if we need the vehicle back she would need to return the vehicle asap. She called and said that the vehicle was leaking oil so we checked the vehicle and it did have a small minor leak. I shared with her that I did not have any other vehicle for us to loan her, and she said that its okay that she would make sure that the vehicle would have oil in it and continue to refill oil as she continued to drive the loaner vehicle. When we called Mrs [redacted] that we need the loaner back she would not answer any of our calls. Finally after many attempts we told her that we needed the vehicle back she asked what about her car. We did tell her that we would find a vehicle for her that meets her qualification. She refused to return the vehicle when I shared with her that we did not have another loaner for her and we did not have another replacement vehicle for the Dodge Journey at that time yet. As I continued to explain her options of waiting for the replacement of her vehicle she hung up the phone. We tried many days to make contact with her about the return of the loaner vehicle. We hired a repossession company to recover the vehicle and she refused to surrender the vehicle by calling the San Antonio Police Department. We then proceeded with the advice of the Auto Theft Division of the San Antonio Police Department, to send out a 10 day letter certified, at which point we could then legally recover the vehicle. We followed the process to recover the vehicle. We finally recovered the vehicle with the help of the San Antonio Police Department notifying her that she has no legal right to the vehicle. In checking the vehicle out, this vehicle also has the motor blown, for no oil and the rear trunk was damage with a hit to it.Universal Auto Groups thank the Revdex.com for their relaying of these kind of situations. As we know that protecting the rights of consumers is a very important and vital process as we here at Universal Auto Group are also consumers with families. We, here at Universal Auto Group are confident that we have acted ethically correct in the best interest of the consumer Mrs [redacted] and in the legal process governed by the State of Texas.  At this time, Universal Auto Group will no longer attempt to help Mrs [redacted] with any vehicle purchase of a vehicle or refund her Down Payment for the Dodge Journey.Sincerely yoursUniversal Auto Group[redacted] Manager
