We did install the owner furnished engine on 2/5/As you can see on the owners invoice our warranty is one year or 12,miles on parts and months on laborWhen the owners engine failed it had been months and 14,miles so both the labor and parts warranty had exspiredThe part in question is not part of a engine replacementThat being said if the part had been defective at the time on the install we would have replaced itWhen we looked at the truck after the failure we found evidence that additional work was done on the engine that was not performed by our shopIt is posable that that additional work caused the issue

I am rejecting this response because I was reminded by the owner that should I encounter ANY issues with the new engine installation WITHIN A YEAR  to bring the gan back to his shop.  He did not mention ANYTHING about mileage.  I also dispute his claim that this is not a normal part that would be replaced while installating an engine.  This is a vital part of the engine and had it been installed the 9 month old engine would not have locked up.  The part cost was only $2.00 and he installed everything else related to this part.  I am in total dispute and disagreement with his response and require a full refund.

question is not part of a normal engine replacement. That being said if the part had been defective at the time on the install we would have replaced it. When we looked at the truck after the failure we found evidence that additional work was done on the engine that was not performed by our shop. It is posable that that additional work caused the issue.
