The key gets stuck intermittently in the ignition. I received a recall from ** (recall # [redacted]). Took car to dealer and dealer says no action requirei have been using the manual release button inside the steering column. This does not happen every time ( about 50% of the time.) I recieved a recall paper in the mail from ** RECALL # [redacted] it states my problem with the car and to take to the dealer. I took to the dealer 12/29/2014, they never asked any questions, just took the car and 20mins later hand me a paper that says no further action required. I asked the advisor [redacted] is the car fixed. She said no because they could not fix because they could not duplicate the problem. I told her it was an intermittent problem and why would I go to all this if I didn't have a problem? She said sorry. I called ** and they said the same thing . If ** sends out a recall with my problem with the car , I think they should fix as stated in the paper work they sent me. I would just like to have the problem fixed. I called another dealer and they said if the key does not get stuck at that specific time they will not fix. He said they are looking at a specific part to fail not to fix the problem. This is just bad Business if you ask me. There for I am contacting the Revdex.com for help.Desired Settlementthe problem fixed , that is all. Business Response I contacted customer and informed customer of Special Coverage Policy #[redacted], which is a Special Coverage Policy covering the transmission control assembly on his vehicle if he encounters a situation where it is difficult to remove his ignition key and the diagnosis confirms that the control assembly causing the concern, that ** would repair at no charge for a period of 15 years, regardless of milage. He stated to me that his concern was intermittent and did not occur while in our service dept. I told Mr. [redacted] that since he had an intermittent concern that we would replace his transmission control. Control has been ordered and will be replaced when it arrives.
