I am the owner of peekaboo mommy 3d ultrasoundWe bought a voluson and a six month warranty from u.d.sin March I should have known there was gonna be problems when they delivered the machine because it was supposed to have a flat panel monitor but had a cheaper monitor insteadThe salesman (*** ***) said it was a typo in our original contract and asked me to sign a new contract after we took possession if that was the only problem I would have been fine with that but approxmonth later the machine shut down on its own in the middle of a scan I called u.d.sand they sent someone over the technician said I need to buy a power conditioner and that would solve the problem so I did but that didn't solve the problem on there next visit to try and repair the machine he said I need a dedicated electrical line from the electrical panel so I had one installedWith three weeks left on our warranty the machine shut down in the middle of a scan again (this was becoming common place and ruining my buisness There tech came back and worked on the machine but one month later we were still having the same problem when I called *** this time he told me I need a new power supply and it would cost $I was told the warranty was up and would have to pay for the repair even though I was having this problem for months when I said this should be covered since I have been having this problem since I got the machine I was told that's too bad it will cost $Now *** won't even answer my emails he and u.d.sare a bunch of crooks I will be filing with small claims courtIf you need a ultrasound machine call *** *** they are very professional!

Review: Dear Sir,

We are a company involved in sales and service of used Radiological equipments like CT Scanners and MRI Scanners in India. We procure from US, Australia and Japan.

We purchased a used Hitachi Airis II MRI Scanner from UDS. The person in charge for this deal was Mr [redacted].

The equipment was negotiated for USD 103,000 (vide Performa Invoice No 020613 dated 02-05-13). The terms for the same were like the crating of individual units in wood , CIF delivered till New Delhi dry port India. We remitted the whole money in advance to UDS as per the terms.

After the equipment was de-installed in US, Mr. [redacted] sent me pictures of the de installation. I was shocked to see the pictures. The magnet was wrapped around with only ply wood. There was no base for the magnet. No wooden crating. Please keep in mind the weight of the magnet is 35000 Pounds. Instead they use two semi circular wooden logs to put below the base of the magnet.

Similar to magnet, other items like Patient Table, Fiber Covers of the entire machine, the computer console, all were not wooden crated... No base either....!

After seeing the photos,I immediately emailed Mr [redacted] and expressed my unhappiness over the packing issue. As it had to travel overseas I was very much concerned that nothing should happen to equipment.

At that point Mr. [redacted] admitted that as he did not have margins he totally overlooked the packing issue.

In one of the mail he took all the responsibility and assured me that if anything happens to the equipment he will bear the loss.

Fine, The equipment arrived to New Delhi dry port. During the shifting of the container from Rail yard to the custom Examination are, it got slipped from the truck and as expected the magnet tipped inside.

The result: one wall of the container was dented. The container was opened and we found following

1. All the fiber covers were cracked and few were broken in two parts.

2. The patient table was broken in to two pieces.

3. Three no coils were crushed.

4. The centre part of the magnet came out from its place.

5. Many accessories were broken or crushed.

Mr [redacted] had a general insurance policy and a claim was filed with them.

The insurance company has their counterpart in India. Their representative also came. He insisted us that can the equipment be tested after the physical damages are fixed..?I explained him that the MRI testing requires a special room called RF room and the temperature has be maintained at 23degree Celsius. So it can be tested only at the customer's site.

Upon his insistence we got it cleared from the customs after paying a duty of approx 14000 USD.

We tested the equipment after repairing at the customer's site and gave the insurance company estimate to rectify all the problems. The insurance company,instead,opted for total loss and passed a compensation of USD 84919.53.

The insurance company wired this amount to UDS on 22nd of October.

I wrote a mail to Mr [redacted] that the insurance company has passed the claim and I sent him my company's detail so that the amount can be wired to our account.

To my surprise,Mr [redacted] sent me a mail saying that he will wire

USD 11919.53 less than what insurance company has passed. I asked him the reason.He says that he paid premium for the insurance company since year 2010 and in future also he shall be paying in future as well. I argued that our consignment was CIF and the insurance cost we have already paid to you. He is not ready to listen. He is not ready to stick to any norms of the international business.

Finally upon my repeated insistence he remitted money less USD 11919.53 to us on 22nd of October. The money did not arrive. When I asked ,he said the amount came back to his account as he filled up the form wrongly. He again remitted on 24th. But I did not receive it even after two days.I again reminded, his reply was like he was going on a holiday for 10 days and he wont be available.

I requested him for SWIFT copy. He denied having any SWIFT copy.

Sir, I asked you. whenever we do transaction the SWIFT copy is always sent by the bank very next day but I never received. I requested [redacted] to provide me details of his staff so that I can be in touch with them. He said only he is the authority so you have to wait till 5th of November. I patiently waited till 5 th of Nov. When I asked he said the money was already deducted from his account and he has no idea where the money is. He told me trace at my end. I said fine I will do that but my bank is asking for the SWIFT copy in order to trace it. He kept mum. Finally on 9th he sent the SWIFT copy and in turn I received the fund in my bank on 11 th of Nov (again USD 11919.53 LESS).

Dont you think this a negligence on his part. or his mala fide intentions.??

We lost our machine,suffered heavy losses. UDS saved money on the packing. Had the packed the machine nicely,this accident would have less impact on the machine.

In Mr [redacted]'s opinion packing has no role to prevent the damages. If this were the case why people get their cargo crated for the shipments. I am not able to understand his logic.

UDS did not loose anything. They received the cost of the equipment. They saved on packing crating and top of it they kept USD 11919.53 with them for no reason.

Please resolve this issue for us.Desired Settlement: The business should return our compensation money which they have kept with them without any reasons.

Mr [redacted]'s contention is that UDS owes him the "uplift" money, and any other "positive" net balance associated with the resolution of this claim.
