I was very pleased with the service received today for the replacement of a battery in my security systemThe service man was prompt, thorough and pleasant

On Sunday July 31st 2016 at approx. 2pm our Smoke and Fire Alarm started going off and we could not shut it off.. We called the Monitoring Station for Wilson Security and she said there was nothing she could do for us and that we were to call Wilson Security on Tuesday 2nd August because it was a long weekend. We said to her the alarm is going off and she said there was nothing she could do for us. About a half hour later we were able to reach a Technician who was on call. He said he could come out at a cost of $75 an hour and cut the wire to the battery because he would not have parts to fix the system. So he told me to go down and cut the wire to the battery which I did. So the Alarm finally shut off. Now we had no Alarm System. On Tuesday 2nd August I went to Wilson Security in Burnside and spoke to a gentlemen about our experience with the Monitoring Station on Sunday 31st July and what they told us to do. He just smiled. ( Found it funny ) and said they should of not told us that. You think!
We have had our alarm system since 2006. Our contract Billing period is from August 1st each year until July 31st the next year. Our contract was originally .with Sure Safe Security. We had paid cash full amount in advance for Monitoring Services for the period August 1st 2016 until July 31 2017. Because we no longer had an alarm system I called Wilson Security Office and spoke to a Samantha who informed me that we would not be getting a refund because we had signed a contract with Sure Safe Security back in 2006 that apparently stated we were not entitled to a refund because we had to pay for the whole year of service.We then received an email dated August 4th from Susan Laing telling us that Wilson Security informed the Monitoring Station we had cancelled their services. We then spoke to the original owner of Sure Safe Security Bill who stated he spoke to the owner of Wilson Security who told Bill in an e-mail that if a customer moves or is unhappy with their service they can get a full refund for whatever months are left on the contract for that year. We heard nothing further . We feel because we have been loyal customers who always paid our bill in full prior to the new year we have been punished by Wilson Security
