Before accepting Mr [redacted] computer service request; I explained in great detail of what can be backed up and transferred back to the newly restored (back to factory settings) computerAfter Mr [redacted] had the computer for several weeks called me back to his home to go over what was transferred and where were his (adware/malware infected) applications he had downloaded prior to me taking the jobI explained that I would not reinstall the infectious applications because I want the computer to run efficiently and explain if he decided to reinstalled said applications I could not warranty the work I had done

With regards to your letter of February and the message from Mr*** *** of Universal Industries, LLC, I offer the following:Mr*** DID NOT IN ANY DETAIL WHATEVER explain what would be backed up and transferred to my, allegedly, restored computer. I learned upon delivery of the computer that I had 'temporary' use of a Software Program and that after a short amount of use, I would have to buy the SoftwareHad I known that up front, I would not have permitted Mr*** to take my computer to his workplace. The reason for a couple week delay from the time of delivery of my computer to my calling Mr*** back was due to a bout of pneumonia and a 5-day stay in Del Webb Hospital from December through 19th and a needed recovery period at home.Again, when I spoke to Mr*** on Wednesday, December he told me that he would come to my home and the work he previously claims to haveaccomplishedHowever, due to not having heard from him, I called Mr*** on Friday, January and then Mr*** insisted that he needed my computer in hisshop to accomplish the workHis word, obviously, has no validity or honor whatever. NEVER did Mr*** infer that he would/would not reinstall infectious applications, as a matter of fact, the only items he installed were: I) a Microsoft word application I would have to pay for, and 2) an anti-virus application of hi s choiceI had NO VIRUS problems on my computer when he took it to his shopAS EXPLAINED to me by Mr. ***, he inferred that *** software had taken over my computer and caused all the continuous advertisements and slowed the system down to the point I could not access the internetFurther, there NEVER WAS any 'warranty' work implied or stated.Mr*** on Friday, January pointed out that maybe he needs to develop a contract for future clientele workHowever, I DOUBT this will ever happen because it would place a commitment upon him that he, obviously, would not survive under.Mr*** charged me $for his work which cleared up NOTHING on my computerMy son came over from California on the 3rd of January and within hours had my computer working in the same fashion it worked when purchased new a few years earlier. Due to the inadequate service and falsehoods represented in Mr***' response cited in your letter, I would be more than happy to settle for a refund of $Nothing less will provide me any satisfaction

Before accepting Mr. [redacted] computer service request; I explained in great detail of what can be backed up and transferred back to the newly restored (back  to factory settings) computer. After Mr. [redacted] had the computer for several weeks called me back to his home to ...

I would hope you would give me the same extended time as the claimant had for his illness. I have been going through a family crisis and have not been active with my work for some time and have not checked email as well. I CAN OFFER A $50.00 REFUND ON SERVICES RENDERED. MY UNDERSTANDING WAS HE DID NOT WANT ME TO REPAIR HIS COMPUTER - HE WOULD FIND SOMEONE ELSE. THAT WAS THE LAST I HEARD UNTIL THE COMPLAINT. If I cannot repair my work then I am unable to warranty my work when some one else try's repairs. However I will offer the refund in good faith.

With regards to your letter of 9 February 2015 and the message from Mr. [redacted] of Universal Industries, LLC, I offer the following:Mr. [redacted] DID NOT IN ANY DETAIL WHATEVER explain what would be backed up and transferred to my, allegedly, restored computer. I learned upon delivery of the computer that I had 'temporary' use of a Software Program and that after a short amount of use, I would have to buy the Software. Had I known that up front, I would not have permitted Mr. [redacted] to take my computer to his workplace. The reason for a couple week delay from the time of delivery of my computer to my calling Mr. [redacted] back was due to a bout of pneumonia and a 5-day stay in Del Webb Hospital from December 15 through 19th and a needed recovery period at home.Again, when I spoke to Mr. [redacted] on Wednesday, 31 December 2014 he told me that he would come to my home and re-do the work he previously claims to haveaccomplished. However, due to not having heard from him, I called Mr. [redacted] on Friday, 2 January 2015 and then Mr. [redacted] insisted that he needed my computer in hisshop to accomplish the work. His word, obviously, has no validity or honor whatever. NEVER did Mr. [redacted] infer that he would/would not reinstall infectious applications, as a matter of fact, the only items he installed were: I) a Microsoft word application I would have to pay for, and 2) an anti-virus application of hi s choice. I had NO VIRUS problems on my computer when he took it to his shop. AS EXPLAINED to me by Mr. [redacted], he inferred that [redacted] software had taken over my computer and caused all the continuous advertisements and slowed the system down to the point I could not access the internet. Further, there NEVER WAS any 'warranty' work implied or stated.Mr. [redacted] on Friday, 2 January 2015 pointed out that maybe he needs to develop a contract for future clientele work. However, I DOUBT this will ever happen because it would place a commitment upon him that he, obviously, would not survive under.Mr. [redacted] charged me $200.00 for his work which cleared up NOTHING on my computer.
My son came over from California on the 3rd of January 2015 and within 3 hours had my computer working in the same fashion it worked when purchased new a few years earlier. Due to the inadequate service and falsehoods represented in Mr. [redacted]' response cited in your letter, I would be more than happy to settle for a refund of $100.00. Nothing less will provide me any satisfaction.
