Universal Investment Strategies Reviews (%countItem)

Universal Investment Strategies claims to have a "Fast Money System" that will enable any client to profit by trading options using their system. Cost is $*** for 8 one hour mentoring sessions plus one year, approximately 520, of trade recommendations or the cost of $*** for 4 one hour classes plus six months, approximately 260, of trade recommendations. I chose the $*** program to start with and found their strategies and recommendations were not profitable. They instructed me to trade using a virtual trading platform until I became profitable, then start actual trading. I lost over $*** in virtual trades using their system and trade recommendations. The trade recommendations they supplied quickly lost money even though I traded as instructed. I notified them of my results and they told me that I needed to send them more money for more sessions. I requested a refund due to their program not performing as advertised. They refused to send me a refund. I am extremely dissatisfied with their service as they won't stand behind their product and provide a refund when their service is lousy and their client is dissatisfied. What successful company that claims to make "Fast Money" wouldn't be able to provide a refund? My conclusion is that they are running a scam and I am a victim. So beware and I recommend not doing business with Universal Investment Strategies.
Product_Or_Service: Investment service

Desired Outcome

Refund I would like to have $*** refunded to me.

Thank you for your efforts and service. I am not surprised that this company has not responded. I politely requested a refund of the $*** I paid them due to not receiving what they promoted. I instead received trade recommendations which, when using their trade instructions, were worthless. A simple refund would have satisfied my complaint. A reputable company would have simply sent a refund, not request that I send them $*** more to "complete" a program that I found worthless, then threaten to remove any review that I post that they deem to be negative. Quote from email from program director ***: "With the aforementioned factors and based on our experience with all the leading business review boards, any negative post that you create for public display will cause your review to be permanently deleted and banned." What reputable company would write that they would do that? I have since written factual, honest reviews which explained my disappointment regarding their service to which they have responded with writing fake positive reviews on *** and *** and attempting to remove my reviews.

As I have concluded and you may conclude from their response to you, this company is not interested in having satisfied clients, but in scamming them.

Universal Investment Strategies has not contacted me in the interim.

Thank you

Document Attached***
In October of 2019 *** contacted the company requesting a refund due to loss of money while taking our program .

-*** had initial success in the program while following the principles of his mentor.
-The Company informed client that a refund was not warranted because the client completed half the program and did not lose any money.
-*** attempted to blackmail the company via verbal and audio transmission to give him $*** in exchanging for not posting negative reviews about the company.
-Company refused the discount and offered additional mentorship to help mitigate is educational burdens at an immense discount.
-Client refused and posted false reviews of his experience across all public ally displayed review sites.

We have attached email communication with client along with an legal letter submitted by company attorney to ***.

Please remove his review at your convenience
Thank you,

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I'll address the points of UIS's response in the order submitted: 1. I requested a refund due to UIS program not performing as advertised and claimed that it would. 2. I lost $*** virtual dollars doing virtual trading as instructed by the mentor over six months. 3. I completed a program that was offered and was never told that it was half the program. 4. I posted reviews which expressed my disappointment with UIS, which would have shown less disappointment had I received a refund. 5. This statement makes no sense. 6. I was very careful not to include anything false in my reviews, and they are not yet displayed across all publicly displayed sites. Following are copies of emails between *** of UIS and I: Re: Options trading m c Fri 11/1/2019 3:38 PM ***, Your response surprises me. Wouldn't a better response have been- ***, We strive to make every client happy so we are sending you a refund of $***. This is not our usual practice and does not follow our refund policy, but we realize that you have had an unusual trading experience in our program so we will make this unusual gesture. We believe in our program to be profitable for our clients and we think that had you finished the program, you would see the results we promote, however you will not have that opportunity now. Our program works, I can easily make a few options trades to raise the $*** and show you how I did it proving to you that a $*** investment in our program is worth the cost to our (insert number of clients here) satisfied and profitable clients. Good Day, *** That type of response would have shown that you actually do strive to make every client happy, that your system and trade recommendations are legitimate and do actually work, that you're not censoring clients honest reviews because you consider them negative. I have no interest in writing negative reviews, I would like to write positive reviews. I did not state that I would post negative reviews. If I write reviews they will contain only facts and details regarding my involvement with your program. I don't know what you mean by posting fake accounts, that would be unethical, I'm only concerned with posting my experience, which I found disappointing, so that prospective clients have a more complete education from an actual client of what they are getting involved in. I find it odd that I am supposedly the first client to have this experience, but then how would I have any evidence otherwise, since you would delete and ban any reviews you deem to be negative. I don't know where you got the idea that I had "massive success" while in the program. I didn't start trading until after the lessons when I started receiving the trade recommendations. As I described earlier, most of the trade recommendations start losing right after I place them as recommended and continue losing until I close them. The profitable trades don't make up for the losers, thus a $*** loss in six months on slightly over 200 trades. I was planning to trade live after three months of practice if I was profitable using your recommendations, but your recommendations were mostly losers. I decided to trade on my own because I had learned how to trade options and navigate the *** platform after four classes with *** and many hours on tutorials from *** and other sources. Your system isn't the only source of learning how to trade options. You're system is also a very expensive source so I hesitated to spend more money at $500 to $625 an hour until I could see positive results. Your trading system is promoted as being simple to use, able to take anyone and make them profitable, and be a "Fast Money System", it doesn't say I have to complete eight classes to be profitable. You concluded that my departure from the program was the primary cause of the issues I had, my conclusion is that the recommendations were poor. Unfortunately, you didn't strive enough to make this client happy. If you actually want to make this client happy, send me the refund I'm requesting. If your program is so successful you should easily be able to make a few options trades, as you have instructed me to do, to get the $*** to send to me. I'm thinking you found it is actually easier to make money selling the program than making successful trades. Education is never complete, but I believe I completed enough education that with the proper trade recommendations I should have been profitable. As I stated previously, it is possible that my experience is unusual, and if so, then I am simply requesting a refund which I'm sure you can easily raise the money for with your prosperous option trades to send to me. I don't want to spend my time and effort writing reviews of of my disappointment with your program and you don't want that type of review and since I'm the only disappointed client you've ever had, make an exception to your refund policy and you'll still have 100% satisfaction. If your program actually works, show me, simply make a few options trades to raise the $*** and send me a refund.

Hello,

Prior to ***s inaccurate claims against the company, we used several attempts to remedy the situation. The primary remedy included offering *** the option to complete the program at a discounted rate. We stand by our guarantee that if a client completes our entire program, they will receive a full refund if they lose money over the course of the year. This guarantee only applies to the client who finished the full eight weeks of training. We have included the attached enrollment form signed by *** that clearly indicates he was aware that he was required to make two payments to complete the program. We have also included the email correspondence sent by *** demanding payment in exchange for not posting negative reviews. The aforementioned practice is illegal.

Any client that completes the entire program and follows the guidelines of the contractual agreement will be eligible for a full refund according to those terms. A client cannot complete half the program, trade virtually and expect to be successful. Because *** chose not to complete the full program he did not acquire the full knowledge and skill that comes along with our Eight week training.

We believe that such practices as attending an educational program, stopping halfway through and requesting a return of payment would be the downfall of 100% of our education based institutions in America. We do not believe this should be warranted in remote learning as well.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
They haven't proposed a resolution.

I have accurately described my issue with UIS in the Case Description, Consumer Rebuttal, and More info received from consumer, in the Activity section of this complaint.

A reputable, honest, successful company would provide a refund to a dissatisfied customer, not excuses and harassment.

I completed the 4 session program as advertised and promoted, and found their methods and recommendations unprofitable. *** A.(Senior Financial Consultant) and *** (Mentor) both told me I could complete the 4 session course (it's written in the enrollment form) and be successful. I found the recommendations worthless so I requested a refund for not providing the service as promoted.

The statement regarding education based institutions is irrelevant. Everyone has a right to receive what they paid for.
