Review: On May **, 2014, I dropped off my Omega wristwatch for repair at Universal Jewelers & Watch Tools, Inc. because it was no longer keeping time properly. The apparent [redacted], [redacted], accepted my watch and quoted me $100 for a repair and included a watchband. He told me that the watch would be ready the following week (on Monday, I believe). He did not ask me for any contact information, or offer me a receipt for the repair, though he did give me one at my request. When I returned to pick up the watch the following week, it initially appeared to be fixed. However, within a day, the watch stopped working entirely. In working condition, the watch needs to be wound daily, and while previously it was still running (albeit not keeping time accurately any longer), now it simply did not work at all. Some time passed before I returned to the store to request a second attempt at repair, because the store is located in a neighborhood I rarely frequent and I had little opportunity to return during their operating hours. On July **, I returned to the store and again spoke with [redacted], explaining that the watch was still broken. He again offered to fix it (at no additional cost) and asked me to return in a week. On July **, I returned to pick up the watch, and again it initially appeared to be fixed, but again within a day, it had ceased to work entirely. I returned to the store for a fifth time on Tuesday, August *. When I explained to [redacted] that his attempted repairs had repeatedly failed to fix my watch, he again offered to fix it and asked me to come back in a week. I responded that since he had already attempted (and failed) to fix the watch twice, I was under the impression that he was unable to fix it, and did not want to waste any more time on subsequent visits (as this was already my fifth time there). I asked for a refund for his services, which had failed to fix the watch. He refused to give me a refund. Our exchange became increasingly heated when I insisted, and at one point his wife (who also works at the store) became involved, and he reacted by telling her to stay out of it and striking her violently on the arm, which disturbed me. It became clear to me that I was not going to make any progress discussing the matter further with him, so I told him that I would be reporting him to the Revdex.com and proceeded to leave the store.Desired Settlement: A full refund of $100 for the faulty watch repair.
