My initial rating was higher due to my salesperson However, before I wrote it my experience changed drastically I started the whole transaction or purchase the beginning of January They were to pay off the loan on my trade in and then complete the paperwork for me First I had to call them back due to the lender of the trade in called me about payment not being made This is when I learned it wasn't taken care of When I called the dealership, they sent me to their admin offices They told me that they hadn't received the payoff yet and were waiting on that to submit the check for payoff This went back and forth for about weeks before the check was sent off I called the bank and there was still a balance for the payoff I had to call Kia again and they couldn't give me an answer for why A week later I found it to finally be paid I kept waiting for my tag It never came I kept getting the run around about where the tag was and Kia couldn't give me an answer I finally got tired of the run around and went to the police department to report the tag lost/stolen and then had to go to the DMV to get a new tag I just two days ago got this all resolved Remind you, bought the first week of January Nine weeks to complete this transaction Never buy from this dealer so that you have to deal with their admin offices Obviously, someone isn't doing their job correctly

Just wanted to chime in and thank y'all for working with me on my wife's new optima sxlThis was our first new car purchaseThanks to [redacted] for helping out***, I appreciate your time and treating me fair on my trade-in[redacted] , your a trip my friend, I'll be back in a few yrs for another vehicle so don't you be running off no where Again thank yall .Happy wife gets me happy life!

My daughter's Kia needed to be towed in for an estimateShe's in college and was unsure of what to do, so had the caw towed to the nearest Kia dealership, which was Universal in AntiochAfter looking her car over, she was told it definitely needed the radiator replaced, and most possibly the transmission; they told us the car was undriveable and the estimate to repair it was more than what the car would most likely be worth, so we decided to see what they could do with a trade-in A sales associate showed us a new Kia, which we noted the sticker price on the window of the carBut when it came down to offering us a deal, he told us the "sticker price" was much higher AND, he informed us they could not buy the car - but the fee for the estimate of her old car was $200.00!!! Luckily her dad is a technician (in another state) who we consulted by phoneHe told us the estimate fee was ridiculous and was able to talk them down to $for the estimate We had her car towed again, this time to CarMaxThey looked the car over, DROVE IT, said it appeared nothing was really wrong with it except maybe the coolant needed to be filled and offered to buy it from us I would NEVER recommend doing business with Universal Kia, either in buying a car or in using their service department

Universal kia on old hickory hollow and riverhate are the most unethical dishonest car dealerships I've ever attempted to do business withThe lie to get you in the dealership and then show you a car you have already told them you were not interested in I have emails guaranteeing me that I was approved for a certain SUVOnly to get there less than an hour later to be told " I'm sorry you can only buy a Optima"O and I set at the dealship with a sales person for well over an hour and NEVER saw one car or SUV!!! Stay away

This dealership actively lies and presents incomplete information in order to make a saleIn any business, the customer should be the focus and not just making the saleI was in a lease vehicle, that I absolutely loved but I was headed to being over my allotted mileageInstead of explaining to me that I would only owe the penalty if I turned the vehicle in and did not get another- I was shown a large dollar amount and told I would owe that no matter what if I didn't change driving habitsThey offered a solution to buy me out of that lease and sell me a basic model Forte for and extremely inflated rateI have a car payment of almost $per month which is ridiculous for the type of vehicle I haveThey effectively put a financial burden and heart ache on me for the next yearsI cannot get out of the vehicle because of the ridiculous amount I owe vs the little value of the vehicleI would still be in my lease and loving my car with an affordable monthly payment had I not encountered the liars and dishonest salesmen affiliated with this dealershipThey send out an exhausting amount of follow up surveys but do not ever respond to any negative feedback, terrible business and I encourage everyone to stay away

My initial rating was higher due to my salesperson. However, before I wrote it my experience changed drastically. I started the whole transaction or purchase the beginning of January. They were to pay off the loan on my trade in and then complete the paperwork for me. First I had to call them back due to the lender of the trade in called me about payment not being made. This is when I learned it wasn't taken care of. When I called the dealership, they sent me to their admin offices. They told me that they hadn't received the payoff yet and were waiting on that to submit the check for payoff. This went back and forth for about 6 weeks before the check was sent off. I called the bank and there was still a balance for the payoff. I had to call Kia again and they couldn't give me an answer for why. A week later I found it to finally be paid. I kept waiting for my tag. It never came. I kept getting the run around about where the tag was and Kia couldn't give me an answer. I finally got tired of the run around and went to the police department to report the tag lost/stolen and then had to go to the DMV to get a new tag. I just two days ago got this all resolved. Remind you, bought the first week of January. Nine weeks to complete this transaction. Never buy from this dealer so that you have to deal with their admin offices. Obviously, someone isn't doing their job correctly.

On 5/11/15 I contacted Universal Kia in Antioch, TN. I spoke with the sales rep by the name of [redacted] I stated to him that I completed a vehicle quote on [redacted] And, asked if he had the vehicles in stock. He said he would look and give me a call back. He called me back and asked when I could come in. I verified with him that I wanted to be sure that he had the cars before I came in. I didn't want to waste my time or his. He confirmed again that they were there. I came in the dealership around 1pm as agreed. Once I came in to meet with him I asked to see the cars. He left to go get the keys. But, he never returned. Instead I was greeted by the sales manager by the name of [redacted] He asked me what type of vehicle I was interested in? So, immediately I became defensive and angry. I was puzzled as to why I am having to explain this. Long story short I spent 3 hours at the dealership and I never got the vehicle I came for.

Just wanted to chime in and thank y'all for working with me on my wife's new optima sxl. This was our first new car purchase. Thanks to [redacted] for helping out. [redacted], I appreciate your time and treating me fair on my trade-in.[redacted], your a trip my friend, I'll be back in a few yrs for another vehicle so don't you be running off no where.
Again thank yall .Happy wife gets me happy life!

My daughter's 2008 Kia needed to be towed in for an estimate. She's in college and was unsure of what to do, so had the caw towed to the nearest Kia dealership, which was Universal in Antioch. After looking her car over, she was told it definitely needed the radiator replaced, and most possibly the transmission; they told us the car was undriveable and the estimate to repair it was more than what the car would most likely be worth, so we decided to see what they could do with a trade-in.

Luckily her dad is a technician (in another state) who we consulted by phone. He told us the estimate fee was ridiculous and was able to talk them down to $100 for the estimate.
We had her car towed again, this time to CarMax. They looked the car over, DROVE IT, said it appeared nothing was really wrong with it except maybe the coolant needed to be filled and offered to buy it from us.
I would NEVER recommend doing business with Universal Kia, either in buying a car or in using their service department.
