Sales Price
I was sold a vehicle that I later saw on the sales contract that I was overcharged nearly 2200 dollars. I'm pretty sure I'm not the first nor will I be the last, but I can assure anyone who checks their sales contract, you might have been overcharged the actual price of that vehicle on line A of your contract. the salesman at universal Nissan will try and awe you with their vehicles only to blind you from what their actual left hand is doing, (writing bad contracts) while your just imagining driving your new car. I was bamboozled and if you have dealt with or plan to deal with these guys will probably be bamboozled as well. I'm owed 2200 dollars, you may be owed more.

Missing Keys and poor service !!
It is with great sadness and reluctance that I am writing this review - but after 3 days of being ignored by Universal Nissan - here goes.

After searching high and low for a car that fitted our $20K budget we decided to visit Universal Nissan. We were shown a high mileage Nissan Rogue that was actually in very good condition. One of the things we always check for after being burned previously is the car has 2 keys. We asked the salesman and he advised us YES it does have two keys. So we put a deposit down until we had insurance in place.

On returning to collect the car we gave over our certified check and signed all of the various bits of paper work. The car was then driven to the front of the building for us to collect. The salesman got out of the car and gave me ONE key, I asked where the other was to which he told me it only had ONE key. I informed him that was what not what we were buying a car with ONE key...to which he replied 'it is sold AS IS'...does this mean they could have removed the engine or a couple of wheels between me leaving a deposit and collecting the car ?... I said not happy and dont want the car - he said leave it with me and I will get back to later today with a solution.

Later that evening he called to basically say his manager had the same stance and the car is sold AS IS and they would not be supplying me with another key.

If you bought a TV from Walmart and the remote was missing you would take it back !

Over the last three days I have emailed managers and staff at Universal Nissan to which I have recieved NO REPLY.

We thought buying from a main dealership would supply us with a level of comfort knowing that they would sell decent cars with a decent service sadly this is not the case.

I will be making every effort to insure that not one more person gets ripped off by this company - look out for soon to be set up 'You Tube channel' and facebook pages.

I also feel concerned that they told me the car was 'Certified Used' - I thought this gave some protection but not so sure now...I would like to know what CERTIFIED USED means...when I checked the nissan website this only applies to cars below 80K miles - mine has done over 100K...so was the certified USED sales just a sticker on the windshield ?

BUYER BEWARE !

You should always verify everything before you buy. This is actually your fault. Maybe the guy didn’t know there was only 1 key. It was your lack of verification. All you had to do was ask “show me both keys because I got burned before or I won’t buy the car”.

I told them to forget it and I left very upset, while "Merry" was eating mini-yogurt right in my face!! $overcharge is not a lot of money, but this is not about the money onlyThis is about the way Universal Nissan allows their employees to add service you did not agree upon and after you catch the skim , it is the way they treat their customersJorge never intended to refund anything to me, otherwise he would have found his "mistake" right away and he would have called me to let me know I need to bring my card in the dealer at the first time, not make me come twiceAlso, when you make a "mistake" like that, you should offer your customer some kind of compensationThey not only didn't offer anything, but the rudeness was overwhelmingWe love Nissan, we have of them in the family, but we will never again go to Universal Nissan for anything! Do yourself a favor and never go to Universal Nissan for any service Oh and btw, someone from Universal Nissan called my wife today to ask her to bring her car for the same Open Campaign we originally went last week!!! So basically, they did not do what we went to do in a first place, they overcharged us, they lied to us about the refund, they where extremely rude after I went there to fix the issue and finally, nobody ever offered some kind of apology

Instead of wasting all that time trying to fix stuff with a dealer. Just dispute it with your bank… You guys need to smarten up man.

I was pressured by Tod to make the purchase of a used car which I returned in weeks and lost $8,dollars on a purchase of a new car The internet survey said there was a day return policy which I was told did not existI have a car that I haven't even put 5,miles on in a yearI never wanted this new car and was taken advantage of as a senior during the holiday seasonI purchased the new car due to advertising that I received in the mail regarding trading in the used oneEveryone I know has been told of this scam and they all hate Universal Nissan

Let me tell you our story with Universal Nissan - ORLANDO
We have a long relation with Universal Nissan, we bought 2 cars from them starting 2007.
5-6 days ago we received an invitation for an Open Campaign service (FREE of charge), regarding the hood latch of my wife's 2015 Altima. I made an appointment for Jan 27th and here we are at Universal Nissan. We were met and greeted by the sales person Jorge M[redacted]. While talking to him, I found out there was an Oil change special for $19.95 and tire rotation for $24.95. I decided to do both. Jorge asked me if I would like to upgrade the service to $59.95 including tire check, fluid check etc. I am very meticilous with my cars, I check the tires and fluids regularly (I even bought a compressor to do that since I have 4 cars). I agreed with the upgrade, thinking nothing wrong could come out of some more checking, right? So the agreeable price was $59.95 + taxes. After they called us to go and pick up the car, we received a $76.35 bill. After we got home I started thinking, this is a lot more than $59.95 + taxes and I noticed he also charged me for tire pressure adjustment for $6. So I called Jorge and asked him to refund the difference from $76.35 to $59.95+ taxes. Jorge promised he will do that right away.
Few days passed, the $76 charge showed up on my CC bill, but no refund. So, today Feb 3rd I decided to go to the dealer and fix the problem on the spot. I went there and some greasy looking girl with glasses going by the name of Merry asked to help me. She said management was in a meeting, so she went and grabbed Jorge to try and resolve the issue. I asked Jorge why he did not refund the money back, he said he made a mistake and he can not do that over the phone. "Merry" said she can only refund $6 for the tire air and that is all she can do for me. She was very rude, she told me unless I have the same card, she could not do anything for me. After doing a quick math, I figured they charged me close to 17% taxes and since it was my wife's credit card, I had to come back second time to bring the card. 2 times in the dealership to resolve a "mistake" they made! I told them to forget it and I left very upset, while "Merry" was eating mini-yogurt right in my face!!
$12.15 overcharge is not a lot of money, but this is not about the money only. This is about the way Universal Nissan allows their employees to add service you did not agree upon and after you catch the skim , it is the way they treat their customers. Jorge never intended to refund anything to me, otherwise he would have found his "mistake" right away and he would have called me to let me know I need to bring my card in the dealer at the first time, not make me come twice. Also, when you make a "mistake" like that, you should offer your customer some kind of compensation. They not only didn't offer anything, but the rudeness was overwhelming. We love Nissan, we have 3 of them in the family, but we will never again go to Universal Nissan for anything! [redacted] is far away, but they will have my business .... again! Do yourself a favor and never go to Universal Nissan for any service.

Oh and btw, someone from Universal Nissan called my wife today to ask her to bring her car for the same Open Campaign we originally went last week!!! So basically, they did not do what we went to do in a first place, they overcharged us, they lied to us about the refund, they where extremely rude after I went there to fix the issue and finally, nobody ever offered some kind of apology.
