Review: Today I visited Universal Optical with my mother, her glasses got broken. Her glasses were done at this place before and paid by her insurance. We selected a pair of glasses there, however less than a hour later, we were informed that we were overcharged and that we could have gotten these glasses at a lower price at another store, such as Sears, etc. I immediately contacted the store and asked them nicely to please cancel the order I just placed with them. I called and spoke with the [redacted], I told her that I just placed the order, but I wanted to cancel it. She said that she had processed it already. I asked her to cancel and return my money to my credit card, it's it just an electronic pending request, the money has not being paid to them as yet. She refused. I told her that I have not received any merchandise from them. Because this transaction happened so late on a Friday afternoon, they did not have time to mail the pair of glasses to the lab or even if they mailed it, the lab could not possible start working on it. This female person, who claims to be the [redacted] then told me that they do not return or reimburse, which I understand, but as of now, I have not receive any merchandise from them and I tried to cancel the order before anything was done other than the charge to my credit card. I should said that this person was very disrespectful and lack of customer service skills. We seem not to be understanding each other, so I asked for the doctor in charge of the business. She said he was there with a client. I notify her that I was on my way to the store to talk to him. It took me 3 minutes to reach to the store, by the time I got there she had the big gate down and the doctor was not there. We did argued outside the store, because she refuse to open the door and she was playing with us as customers. When she finally came out to leave the store, she claimed that she could not cancel the order because the lab was closed. It was not closed when the cancellation was requestedDesired Settlement: I have tried working with the store, within a reasonable time, to cancel the order, however because of their nasty attitude and the store negativity to my request and they customer service skills are non-exiting, and the fact that I'm not getting the glasses from them, I would like to get refunded for the full payment made, $370.00I had requested in every way possible to stop the processing of the glasses, that is, if they were actually sent to make, which I really doubt, because of timing.
