I was initially contacted by Mrs*** after the estimator initially working on her file was terminated and her
correspondence was forwarded to me as the General Manager of our officeI was out on leave at the time she contacted my office and not able to respond to herLast week on 5-we connected and I was able to address her concernsShe was asking for a billing review and claimed that she had been over charged for some equipment used in conjunction with our servicesI performed a review of the file and the estimateAs it turns out, she was denied coverage for the loss through her carrier and was in the process of making payments to us out of pocketSince her original estimator was no longer working on the file, she was not given any explanation as to why these charges were on the bill
Upon review I found that there was an overcharge and made some additional corrections and discussed them with the insuredShe was over joyed at our response and agreed to remit payment in full on Thursday instead of continuing on her bi-weekly payment planA revised copy of the estimate was saved to the file and sent to Mrs*** via emailShe did receive it and remit payment of the new balance in fullThe matter has been closed internallyThank you

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I do not find it surprising that they lost the phone messages I left. This seems to be how they do business. They are aware of my concerns now and could have simply called me. I do not see the point of calling them over and over and having my messages ignored or denied. Also, apparently they did not look at the contract as my roof contract specifies "warranting the project for year - roof, against defects in workmanship or materials utilized". Not surprising they missed that as well. The shingles fell off while I was at home during a hot day. There was no wind damage etccausing this. When this job was finished in I tried to hold back the payment until they fixed everything. They refuted my claims of problems and attempted to put a lien on the house rather than address the issues similar to what they are doing now. The roof problem seems like a simple fix (I am not an expert) and could probably have been fixed easily by a rooferBut they would rather spend a great deal of effort refuting my claims than just fixing the problem. If I would have known how this company operates I would never have considered hiring them

Our project manager will be reaching out to Jeff *** today to perform an inspection to the affected area of the roof

I need to know who the homeowner? has been? calling.? We have no missed calls or requests for warranty repair work.? Also- this customer has a year manufacturer warranty for the roofing materials- we would need to assess the missing shingles to determine if they are storm/wind
related versus improper installation.? ? He also has a? year interior warranty.? The job was completed march of which is past our warranty period.? He can contact our office to speak with the estimator who sold the job

I would not recommend this company to anyone. I contacted their agent on mutiple occations regarding repairs that were not completed. I had to pay others to complete their job. I also was then contacted by their lawyer via US mail regarding additional monies due, I sent a letter to the lawyer along with pictures of incomplete work and received via US mail that Universal had put a lean on my home. I realized this company would not take action fulfilling the contract, so I paid them the additional money on an insured job.
