Universal Sales & Service Reviews (5)

We are corresponding to the recent complaint from Mr. [redacted]. Our company had a few set backs this last February. The coownerof our company UNIVERSAL SALES & SERVICE, has passed away onFebruary 22, 2016. The second thing was that the owner of our companywas in the hospital and rehab with...

his diabetes for (2) entiremonths, a CO-WORKER Marvin M[redacted] fell and is now at their home forrecovery. Our detailer lost her mother also, about (1) week afterour mother passed, and her brother had a stroke driving hemself backfrom seeing his dying mother.
I had a full plate, with attempting to run the business, constantlycalling in house contracts for payments, with alot of delinquentaccounts, one of our secondary financers offered if she could help outwith our excess good inhouse accounts. so, I had our account BeverlyM[redacted] pull all the accounts, and between faxing, approvals, and somedenials, Reliable Credit Association, INC.(WA), had originally attempteda prequalification for a loan. However, when (Rachael M[redacted]) haddiscussed the loan, I myself (Michelle *. B[redacted]) denied that particularloan because of prior dealings with the [redacted] family.
This is just one of the strange dealings with this unusual familythat we have dealt with. Kerry, had provide (3) seperate vehicles forthis family, and every single vehicle, has been destroyed from [redacted], and now our stance is, if the [redacted] family cannot afford to fixa USED VEHICLE, then may be they should purchase a brand new vehicle, including a service contract, so they can afford the expendutures thatwill occur, when a USED VEHICLE has some service issues. (3) vehiclesof our products have been destroyed to lack of maintance due to [redacted] &his wife [redacted].
I had my hands full attempting to run the business, servicework, funerals, rehabiliation, almost (1) Foot amputation, payroll, adverting, financing, wholesaling, transportation, purchasing vehicles, etc.It has been a very frustrating (2) months.
We offered [redacted] to take the vehicle that he had purchased totake the vehicle back to the repair shop (Louies Automotive) to doublecheck an oil leak, which was not a transmission issue, however, Rickwas very nice, and took a look at their vehicle, and of course, thiswas not any leak, that he had repaired.
Our company even offered to bring in the vehicle, and get a secondlook for diagonistic, but [redacted] stated that he needed the vehiclethat moment, not in a day or so. we have NO LOANER VEHICLES, for anyone.this still was not sufficient for [redacted]. Then he wanted me tojust drop all our customer service appointments, and slide his vehiclefor a look....imaginene no correspondence, then when [redacted] & [redacted] werelate for their payment. The contract date was (02'ND) and they always would attempt to have our company change the payment date for their convenience. alot of us here in Spokane, WA would love the opportunity to change payment dates on our bills & obligation, howeyerr that is notreality. . We simply cannot afford to sell these (2) individuals anyautomobiles  because we can not afford the abuse that these people dowhen they borrow cars/VANS
We wish them luck because the next auto dealer who encountersthese (2) individuals, are really going to need it. We are simplyrefusing to do any future dealings with the [redacted] family at this time.
Also, when Reliable Credit attempted to help our small company out,Rachael was doing our customers a great big favor. As they do reportgood, great, faboilious, payment history. However, I did not wantto jepordize our good standing with Reliable, with any poor payees, andmake poor relationships between the two of our company & theirs. I canonly Thank Reliable and Rachael for attempting to help our cash flow atthat time, they did our customers a big, big, big, favor, and we can noteven begin to tell them how gracious that we are.
Now, the last vehicle that the [redacted]'s broke, isstill in broken status, and it appears that he broke a seal, and to what damage it is, westill are uncertain. As the customer service slows down, we will bringit in, and find out the correct statuse on the vehicle. The [redacted] turnedthe vehicle back to us, and they have gotten all our their personal belongings out of the vehicle.
It's funny, but we had no correspondence from the [redacted]'s exceptwhen they are attempting to scheme a motive for monetary gain. We didhonestly attempt for customer service, to resolve (3) seperate vehicles, and we cannot afford for the [redacted]'s to continue ruining our inventoryso, (3) strikes your out! We refuse the right to do any future dealingswith [redacted] or [redacted]. We have proven our track record with these(2) individuals, and we did go above and beyond good customer service forthese ungrateful indididuals. Kerry, even dropped everything (1) time toaccomodate Mr. [redacted]'s crisis, and he did not EVEN say THANK-YOU as, hecould of caused Kerry to loose his entire leg. Because, Kerry was attemptingto provide good customer service for his company UNIVERSAL SALES &SERVICES.
Thank-you for your time,
Ms. Michelle R. H[redacted]/Sales Manager
Universal Sales & Service.

Horrendous place to deal with.We were promised a list of things that would be fixed prior to taking possession of our van and hardly anything was fixed despite bringing the van back to them multiple times. The radiator was cracked and rusty and while supposedly "fixing" it multiple times, the mechanic never saw this??? Their mechanic did more harm than good when "fixing" the van we purchased, then became verbally abusive and swore at me when I got upset. We were promised a new heater core but each time we got it back it was no better than before and nothing was done. We were scraping the frost off of the inside AND outside of the windows in the middle of winter with our kids in the car because we had no defrost and no heater for weeks. They were supposed to replace a leaky tire but they just pumped up the old one. We put new wiper blades on as soon as we got the van but the wipers didn't work properly (that was on the list) so we took the van in to get them fixed and the mechanic bent them, then claimed they were like that when we brought it in, essentially calling me a liar. I was then charged for new blades to replace the new ones HE broke and was told that if I didn't pay, they would "call in the loan" even though I had made my payments on time and was not in any breach of contract. To quote the office manager, "We're the bank, we can call that loan in anytime we want." Out of three payments from us, they lost two and had to dig for them. Their filing system is piling everything all over the place. They literally pulled our payment record out of a plastic grocery bag loaded with papers. They were EXTREMELY unprofessional and rude. We paid them off within 3 months just so the aggravation would end. After paying off the van and not getting the heater fixed, we ended up sinking another $1K into it just to repair the items we were promised would be fixed in the first place. The owner seems like a nice guy but he will make promises he can't back up just to get you to buy. Whoever the office manager is (his wife I think?), she's the most unpleasant and unprofessional woman to deal with. If you have a complaint, she will turn away from you and make other unrelated phone calls and have other conversations and find other things to do with you standing right there, waiting for the problem to be resolved. Do not walk but RUN away from this business.

Review: Owner [redacted] agreed to exchange the van I purchased from him for a van comparable in price. He had my van towed to a Dodge dealer and had unauthorized repairs done to it. Now he is demanding I pay for repairs, in addition he has in his possession my van and I have no vehicle in exchange. The van I originally purchased had multiple issues, and agreement was made based upon those findings.Desired Settlement: I made several attempts to exchange my van only to be told by [redacted] that they had still received no comparable vans. A refund of my money is the only course I am left to take.

Response:

Do not buy a red Ford Wind star with vin number 2FMZ8514WBC98062 because the engine has a cracked block, the transmission does not work, the alternator and battery are not good, the engine light is on, and the power steering pump is no good. Do not trust [redacted] or [redacted]. They will say what ever it takes to get you to buy the vehicle, but they will not follow through on anything they tell you.

Just bought a van today gave me a excellent deal. Great customer service.
