Mr***, Thank you for the opportunity to speak with you and your mother to address your concerns. I am sorry to hear that you were frustrated during you final few courses at Universal Technical Institute and hope that our conversation rectified some of the concerns you brought forwardAs
*** ***, our Financial Aid Director, and I discussed with you, your tuition was refunded in accordance to the Enrollment Agreement you signed and the Federal and State refund guidelines we are required to follow. It is due to the refund guidelines that there is a balance due to UTI. As Mr*** discussed with you, you have the opportunity to request a reduction in your monthly payment obligation when you speak with UTI Internal Collections department. Mr*** provided via email the contact information for both that department and provided you the NSLDS website information so that you can review the information regarding your Federal Student LoansRegarding the challenges with your final few courses, you were not charged any retake fees for those classes you did not pass given you did not retaken either class. As we discussed, if you elected to return to UTI and complete the three courses you have left to graduate, you have your Free Retake available, which will eliminate the cost to one of the remaining courses, and you have the opportunity to appeal the retake fee for the other course you didn’t pass if you feel there were mitigating circumstances that impacted you during that course. This will leave you with one final course to complete in order to graduate.
