Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
Hello, I have received a letter from universal transmissions and I agree to have my belongings replaced but as I mentioned in another email I do not trust universal transmission to do so, there has to be a way for all the things to be replaced or fixed, also my dashboard doesn't light up and that was missing in the letter they sent me Based on the lies that they made up, and they way they implied that I was making all this up, this only goes to show me that they are not trustworthy or professional, in any case that it had to be fixed by them and there was no other way around, I will agree to them fixing it with someone being there while the work is being performed at all times and receipts of the stuff they are putting into my truckI spent a lot of money getting that truck back up and running to put it in jeopardyMrJose mentioned that all my stuff was old and crappy, which was not the case, and I would not want them to replace it with old used things, like they impliedAgain I'm not trying to complicate things and want to get this resolved for the sake of both parties, as soon as possible, but I do not trust them.
Regards,*** ***

Dear [redacted],ID [redacted]Mr. [redacted] came in about 4 weeks ago to our shop about a complaint that his trucks transmissionwas not shifting properly. He wanted his transmission serviced which we charge $160 for. hetowed it in a dolly to the shop for the service. The transmission oil plug was...

removed, we found out that the fluid was completely burnt, andadviced him that the tranny needed major repairs and did not make the trans service that wouldhave gone to waste and saved him money. His transmission service requires 2 hrs oflabor. which we did not do because we drained the oiland had to refill the transmission with new oil.We replaced the burnt fluid with new oil. This took 20mins, called and notified Mr. [redacted], he saidill pick it up much later and he agreed to pay $50 for the oil and labor. He was notified but didntpick up his vehicle in 4 days until he was notified that his vehicle was vandalized.Beforehand the shop was packed with cars and there was no room for his car inside the shop, sohis car and others were left locked outside. We notified Mr. [redacted] about how our current insurance does not cover theft outside of our shop.We made a police report right away the next day on that Saturday morning. We suggested that heverif'y with his insurance provider but he may not have any current insurance on his vandalizedtruck. Case# [redacted] was filed. This is probably not his daily driver vehicle, we don't think he uses car insurance.Mr. [redacted] claimed he had tools for work that he uses daily but why didnt he take them? Wedidn't see any in the truck.Mr. [redacted] laughed at his own truck when he arrived and saw that it had been vandalized andsaid who would break into a junker truck like mine? When the vehicle was in the shop it was diagnosed for the transmission issue. While inside thevehicle cab we only saw an old kenwood stereo and an old police radar detector. The wife anddaughter called various times very upset and demanded that their belongings be replacedincluding a set of new knives that were supposedly inside the cab but we checked when it camein and there was nothing inside. They were blaming us for the situation.Customer does not have an invoice from our service. We think his wife is personally trying to take advantage of this situation against us and its notright. There are no car shops that say they are liable for personal belongings. Neither are we.We may think Mr. [redacted] lied to the cop about having tools lost or stolen.Mr [redacted] has not expressed worries about his lost, only his daughter and wife do to takeadvantage of the situation.Everything was specified verbally by Jose E[redacted] specifically over the phone to repair thewindow and the stereo, when they asked how we were going to help because the burglaryhappened outside of the shop and there is no insurance coverage.

Hi [redacted],
Last week I sent a letter to Mr. [redacted] offering to make repairs in the shop through a  certified mail letter and I have a signed receipt to prove it.

Attached is picture I took of it with my iphone.

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Regards,[redacted]
I heard over the radio about universal transmission and was looking to get my truck fixed so I called Mr. José [redacted] and made an appointment with him to bring in my truck on 11/19/2015, I rented a dolly from U-Haul off of Chinden Boulevard which I still have the receipt for which was on a Thursday night, that night at about 5 PM I went and dropped off my truck to Mr. Jose [redacted] at the shop universal transmission and he told me he was not going to be able to check my truck that night because he closed his shop at 6:00 pm. I never got a call from him the following day (Friday) so I decided to give him a call at around 5 PM and that was when he told me that the oil in my transmission was Burnt and most likely I needed major repairs or new transmission which was going to be very costly. I told him I would go pick it up right away and he refused and said that he was going to close very soon and to pick it up the following morning at around 10 AM, mr. José [redacted] never mentioned that he would leave my truck outside the shop, but I trusted he would take care of it from the moment I have him my keys. When I arrived the following morning at 10 AM like we had agreed he told me that he had just noticed about 10 minutes ago that my truck had been vandalized and my back window was broken, I don't understand why Mr. Jose is lying that I didn't pick up my truck for 4 days after it had been diagnosed or they are insinuating or assuming that my truck isn't assured, I have been with Allstate insurance for 14 years and the truck has been insured since the day I purchased it about three years ago, also I could if needed get witnesses, coworkers and neighbors that could testify that that is my daily vehicle/work vehicle, even so that I fixed it a week after I picked it up from their shop, of course at another shop. I made a sarcastic statement that they had chosen to vandalize my car when It was sitting next to Newer cars and Mr. Jose said that it was probably because the newer cars had alarm systems and mine didn't. Yes indeed I did have my tools in my truck when Mr. Jose [redacted] told me to bring in my truck for the service I was coming back from work, I only took out my necessities for Friday's work, in fact Mr. Jose reminded me of things that I didn't remember were in my truck such as a goofy figure from Disneyland that we had purchased , a GPS and a police scanner when they we were filing the police report, he also said that he didn't recall seeing anything else because they usually don't inspect cars for belongings. We filed a police report that morning, the police officer said he would check the cameras of the neighbor businesses because universal transmissions didn't have any cameras and would call if he had any news. Mr. Jose suggested not getting his insurance involved and rather handling my incident between us. When I spoke to Mr. Jose Saturday morning he said that the service would only cost $50 but refused to take the money. He said we would resolve his payment when my whole vandalizing incident was also resolved . The reason why my daughter and my wife called the shop once, not repeatedly like they were stating was because I had not heard from them in about two weeks, and I spoke to him before they call the shop to let him know that my daughter would be calling him because I was at work and couldn't answer the phone. The reason I don't have an invoice was because the shop failed to provide me with one and only serviced it and would charge me $50 which again Mr. Jose refused to take, also I would never lie to the police officer in regards to my belongings. I am in no way trying to take advantage of Mr. Jose or his business I just want my valuables replaced, you would think logically that a car shop would take full responsibility and liability for a car that was left at their shop. Also I have proof of the U-Haul rental and receipts of my car repairs at the other shop and proof of the calls made. On Saturday after filing the police report Mr. Jose and myself came to an agreement to leave my truck at his shop at least until he got an answer from his insurance he said his agent was out of town but would be back in a few days, a few days later he called me to let me know my truck was ready to be picked up, I went to pick it up and it was parked outside, still with the broken window "fixed" with cardboard and tape. Again I'm not trying to take advantage of anyone I'm just trying to get my valuables replaced because that's what you would expect when you leave your vehicle under the responsibility of a trustworthy business.
