Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Services were not provided, I did not cancel, they gave me a guranteed price and after increasing the price and changing the date I said they are violating the agreement so they cancelled on their own, if they provided the service for the price agreed then there would be no issue but after I asked for a refund and they cancelled the service, I did not ask them to cancel, attached are text message conversations where they guaranteed the price and he said no later than yesterday after taking my money he increased the price and said sunday or monday Regards, [redacted]

Our contract states that we have days to complete the order starting from the first available pick up date(requested available pick up date) and her estimated pick up date was for 01/08/and she decided to cancel on 01/11/we called her to explain that we can waiver the cancellation fee but

Customer signed our contract and agreed to our terms and conditions below and you can see on the attached file. He cancelled his contract 1 day after signing with us and it clearly states that there is a cancellation fee of $200 if customer cancels within 7 days from the first available pick up...

date and you can see on the contract his first available pick up date is 02/21/18. I explained to customer this was the process and he still proceeded with the cancellation, we also have the right to cancel at any moment as it states on the terms and conditions.TERMS AND CONDITIONS 1. 1)The carrier and driver jointly and separately are authorized to operate and transport his/her or their motor vehicle between its pick up location and the destination set forth on the auto transport order contract. 2)Trucking damage claims are covered by carrier from $100,000 up to $250,000 cargo insurance per load, and a minimum of 3/4 of a million dollars’ public liability and property damage. All claims must be noted and signed for at time of delivery, and submitted in writing within 15 days of delivery. 3)LUGGAGE and personal property must be confined to trunk, with no heavy articles and not to exceed 100 lbs. Carrier is not liable for damage caused to vehicle from excessive or improper loading of personal items. For overseas shipments (including Hawaii) vehicles must be empty, except for factory installed equipment. Any article left in vehicle will be removed at shipper’s expense. 2. 1)The price quoted includes 7% discount for cash payment, (credit card customers and billing accounts will be charged full amount + tax). Pickup and delivery is from your door unless residential area restrictions apply. Pickups by appointment are available for an additional fee, by smaller unrestricted auto carriers. 2)Vehicles must be tendered to carrier in good running condition with no more than a half tank of fuel. Carrier will not be liable for damage caused by leaking fluids, freezing, exhaust systems, or antennas not tied down. Any claim for loss or damage must be noted and signed on condition rep ort at time of delivery 3) If a carrier is sent out and the vehicle isn’t ready as indicated by the shipper there will be an additional $75.00 rescheduling fee. Universal Transportation must be notified if the shipper will be unavailable for pick up or delivery, the shipper must have an alternate representative take his/her place as shipper. If for any reason the vehicle becomes unavailable during a scheduled pick up window, after an order has been placed, Universal Transportation has the right to cancel the order with no refund. A $150.00 non-operational fee will be charged for all non-running vehicles. This will be included in the final quote received from Universal Transportation. If the vehicle becomes non-operational during transport, this fee will be applied to the original quote. 4)Universal Transportation agrees to provide a carrier to transport your vehicle as promptly as possible in accordance with your instructions but cannot guarantee pick up or delivery on a specified date. An administration fee of $200 will be charged for orders canceled prior to one week (7 days) after the requested 1st available pick up date on this contract. Universal Transportation does not agree to pay for your rental of a vehicle, nor shall it be liable for failure of mechanical or operating parts of your vehicle.  3. 1)All deposit and administration fees are final and not refundable 2)Shipper warrants that he will pay the price quoted due to Universal Transportation for delivered vehicles, and will not seek to charge back a credit card. This agreement and any shipment here under is subject to all terms and conditions of the carrier’s tariff and the uniform straight bill of lading, copies of which are available at the office of the carrier. This supersedes all prior written or oral representation of Universal Transportation and constitutes the entire agreement between shipper and Universal Transportation and may not be changed except in writing signed by an officer of Universal Transportation.
