The consumer enrolled in our school on May 18, 2015, at that time we informed the consumer the type of vehicles we use for the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) class B driving test (which the DMV had been accepting our trucks for class B...

testing since we started our school in 1993), so he was aware of the type of trucks we would provide him with the driving training and driving test. The course was guaranteed until he passed [redacted] DMV driving test, unfortunately the DMV changed the regulations for commercial class B driving test and it's completely out of our hands.
When the consumer enrolled and signed the enrollment agreement he was aware that if the enrollment agreement was canceled by the consumer we would charge him the following fees:
1. $100.00 enrollment fee,
2. $100.00 for the study material for the DMV written test and
3. $60.00 per hour of driving training given, the consumer was given 8 hours of driving training, 8 hours times $60.00= $480.00.
The refund was calculated as follows:
Consumer paid: $800.00
School fees charged: enrollment fee - $100.00
study material fee - $100.00
8 hours of training - $480.00
Refunded back to consumer: $120.00
Unfortunately, we will not be able to give the consumer a full refund, with the driving training we had provided him, we also had our expenses that had to be covered.
We also offered him to upgrade to a commercial class A drivers license (with class A, the consumer can also drive class B vehicles) and pay the difference of $200.00 for a total of $1500.00 which is what we charge for the class A drivers license but he did not want to change the enrollment agreement.
The consumer states that that we did not give him the right information before he started paying, which is not true, we had no idea that the Department of Motor Vehicles would be changing the regulations for commercial drivers license, we have been in business since 1993 and we have a lot of satisfied students, we would not have lasted all these years if we would be "ripping" the students off. I can also provide you our school agreement signed by the consumer and our school staff where it states the above charged fees that I have explained to you.
