Great Job!!! Excellent from start to finishHighly recommended

The staff was very professional from beginning to endThey made my moving experience very at easeThey came a few days before my move to go over what I was taking and gave me final quoteI received my things within a week even though my contract stated it could be longerI was moving from NJ to FLThey called me when they was delivering my thingsEverything arrived the way it was giving to themI would recommend Universal Van Lines to anyoneThey are very considerate to you needs and making your move go as smoothly as possible and cost efficient

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: as of this date, January 2, I still have not received any compensation for the original complaint. Also, due to holiday and unpacking over boxes, it is impossible for person to fully unpack in "or days", as I was told. Missing boxes and damaged table were discovered weeks after the move. Form was received and returned to company and have yet received any information. Also, delayed response was due to a non-working computer
Regards,
*** ***

First, I want to apologize about any inconvenienced caused to the customer.I spoke to *** the day after the move and gave her the option to buy the missing hardware (Shelf supporting peg and touch up marker)) herself and we will reimburse her for the cost or I can order it online and have it
shipped to her home but it will take more timeShe chose to buy it herself and she did email me the receipt but before I had the chance to submit it and send her a check for $I received this complaint.I spoke to the customer right away and we went over the issues she mentioned in the complaint, which some of them are the first time I heard of( like the missing boxes and that movers were going slow) and since she has additional minor damages other than the missing hardware she have to submit damage claim form ,which was emailed to her so once we receive the completed form she will receive a settlement letter for everything all together.Last time I spoke to *** was yesterday and she said that she filled out the form and mailed it to us so we are taking care of the situation and addressing the issues. The only issue we couldn't figure out is the alleged missing boxes which are nowhere to be foundI explained the customer that we didn't find anything on the truck and also she was given the opportunity to check the truck at the end of the move before the truck left her homeAlso, despite speaking to the customer numerous times after the move, she didn't mention anything about any missing boxes until this complaint which is little over a month since the move date so it's a bit strange to me personally especially that she is stating that these boxes have very important documentation. Thanks and have a happy holiday season

We received the form of loss and damage report from the customer and is in a process like any regular loss and damage claim. The process may take up to days from the filing date so the customer should receive a settlement letter by middle to end of next week with settlement offer for all the items together, we can't break it into few different claims

From my initial phone call with David to the three young men who picked up delivered my furniture & boxes...all I can say is AMAZINGI have moved times in the last 25+ years and can honestly say, by far, my easiestThank you

To Whom It May Concern,
During the course of the move of *** *** belongings on 5/12/a side glass was damaged and *** *** filed a claim with our claim department
A settlement letter on the amount of $was mailed to *** *** on 5/23/and upon notrizing
, signing and mailing it back to us a settlement check was suppose to be mailed to him
*** *** disputed the settlement amount via email on 6/8/and received detailed explanation as to how we came up with this amount and he was explained once again that upon signing the settlement letter , notarizing it and returning it back to us a settlement check for the above amount will be mailed to him.
Until this day,2/17/2014, we have not received the signed settlement letter or any further co responding from *** *** in any way and this is the very first time we hear from *** *** since 6/8/
Even though, as per contract for service, there is a statue of limitation of months for any damage claim we will gladly pay the settlement in the amount of $off upon receiving the signed and notarized letter
If *** *** don't have copy of the letter he may contact us and we will forward to him copy of this letter

Great experience with my move. The cost was competitive. The movers were prompt, helpful and careful with all of the items. Definitely would recommend their service.

We have used Universal Van Lines for 2 office moves in the past year. Their staff is very professional and timely. The move took much less time than anticipated and their moving staff were extremely pleasant to work with. The prices were also very reasonable. I would definitely recommend.

They moving guys were extremely fast, efficient and professional. They had all the right tools for packing, wrapping and protecting our furniture and valuables. The entire move went very smoothly and we paid no more than what we expected. I highly recommend.

Review: The company had promised to issue a $60 refund for damages to my property, which was not in full compliance with their warranty policy but I had relunctaly agreed. I signed, notarized and sent back the proper paperwork and have not received anything back yet.Desired Settlement: I want my refund mailed to me asap. Thank You

The moving team was very professional, courteous and on time. The move went a lot faster than I had anticipated. There was no damage to any of my belongings, as they carefully wrapped all items. They were fantastic and I have absolutely no complaints! Thank you and I highly recommend them.

Great Job!!! Excellent from start to finish. Highly recommended.

Review: Hired them for the 2nd time however, on moving day I felt they were moving slowly, so I needed to move boxes and I needed to pay someone to load a 10 lb. plant into my car which is currently still in my trunk; because it was left behind; plus moving truck was doing 25mph on a 50mph highway. As unpacking noticed damages, spoke to [redacted] and was assured of reimbursement for several scratches & broken hardware but was not offered payment for the plant they left behind. I decided to purchase items myself, which took some time to find correct size for hardware & sent email with receipts, pictures of damage to additional furniture and stated there were several missing boxes which contained important files which have my social security number, tax files, medical files and other personal information. Also stated there were 2 areas on truck which were not made visible for me to see if these boxes were left behind and requested the movers be notified. As of this complaint, I have yet to receive reimbursement for purchases nor a response to the current damages and lost items.Desired Settlement: Company should hire more professional staff and respect their customers. Standby your obligations and send confirmation of reimbursements and at least knowledge the customers loss of important personal information.

Regards,

When they came to my house to estimate the cost of the service, they looked very professionals. On the other hand when they moved my furniture they damaged my mattress, my stove, and my refrigerator. The cost of the damages were up to 1,500.00 and they just send me a check for less than 80 dollars. If you want to contract this company, make sure you read the specifications on the insurance policy. I am very disappointed
