Universal Windows Direct of Columbus Reviews (7)

Thank you for the opportunity to respond Universal Windows Direct of Columbus (“UWDC”) takes great pride in both the quality and value of the products that it offers to its customers To that end, UWDC spends many hours training its sales staff regarding structuring its sales agreements in a way that conveys value to the consumer at a price that is fair to the company While the vast majority of UWDC’s agreements are negotiated and finalized on terms that provide exceptional value to the customer at a price that is fair to UWDC, on rare occasions a mistake is made In this case, a relatively inexperienced sales associate inadvertently priced the sales agreement with the customer based upon incomplete and mistaken information As a result of these mistakes, the agreement was inadvertently priced at substantially below UWDC’s cost to complete the job The sales associate in question has already received additional training to ensure that the same mistake does not happen again Under these circumstances, and under the terms and UWDC’s sales agreement, UWDC has the right to cancel the agreement Specifically, UWDC’s sales agreement states “In the event UWD determines that the Agreement(s) cannot be performed as intended by the parties, due to, for example and without limitation, incorrect pricing, UWD may cancel the Agreement(s) by written notice, in which event UWD shall return Buyer’s deposit." UWDC has already apologized to this customer for this mistake, and has offered to install this job at UWDC’s actual cost to complete While UWDC cannot complete this job at a loss, it remains willing and able to complete the job at cost, and we remain hopeful that we can ultimately reach an amicable resolution with this customer Thank you again for the opportunity to respond Please let us know if you have any additional questions.”

We respectfully disagree with the customer’s characterization of events The only pricing mistake at issue was made during the second visit to the customer’s home, when a relatively inexperienced sales representative mistakenly priced and wrote up this job at a substantial loss for the company The originally quoted price was not a mistake, and to be clear, Universal Windows Direct remains ready, willing, and able to perform this installation at that price However, the customer has now also requested that Universal Windows Direct finance this job (which was not part of the original quote, and adds additional cost to the job for Universal) Notwithstanding, Universal Windows Direct would be happy to honor the originally quoted price on its original terms (which did not include financing), and Universal remains hopeful that a mutually-agreeable resolution can be reached Thank you again for the opportunity to respond

We have reached out to this customer, and hope to reach an amicable resolution of this matter soon We will update as warranted

The response says they made a mistakeI was giving prices from two different sales people at two different dates and they are saying they would not honour either pricing Yes sometimes people make mistakes but two mistakes two different dates with two different sales people! The company needs to step up and honour A written contract.

On the phone I was told they would not honour the first quote I received as well Which was total price 14, at 0% for months You stated financing came into play after the fact that is not a true statement If that was the case why was my credit ran and I have a preapproval with credit from Wells Fargo which you will find attached The second quote which was agreed upon and signed was for 12,at 0% for months You are now stating you will honour the first quote is that correct?

We respectfully disagree with the customer’s characterization of events.  The only pricing mistake at issue was made during the second visit to the customer’s home, when a relatively inexperienced sales representative mistakenly priced and wrote up this job at a substantial loss for the company.  The originally quoted price was not a mistake, and  to be clear, Universal Windows Direct remains ready, willing, and able to perform this installation at that price.  However, the customer has now also requested that Universal Windows Direct finance this job (which was not part of the original quote, and adds additional cost to the job for Universal).  Notwithstanding, Universal Windows Direct would be happy to honor the originally quoted price on its original terms (which did not include financing), and Universal remains hopeful that a mutually-agreeable resolution can be reached.  Thank you again for the opportunity to respond.
