I was charged $120 from my security deposit for not wiping down several surfaces. Their policy is to charge $120 regardless of actual damages.According to NC law it is illegal for landlords to charge more from the security deposit than the damages that were actually incurred. That is exactly what happened in this case. According to their employee, [redacted] I was charged $120 for "a wipe down of appliances, bathroom fixtures, kitchen sink, etc". This is due to[redacted] policy to charge an automatic $120 when it is deemed that an apartment needs a "deep clean" regardless of what the actual damages were.Desired SettlementI want my money back and an apology letter from the CEO.
