I am writing you today in an effort to receive assistance related to a collection account that Florida Hospital Tampa (University Community Hospital) referred to a collection agency incorrectly I received a notice from Capio Partners to collect a supposed outstanding debt from May 22, which was related to the birth of my son Florida Hospital claims that I owe $from that date This is incorrect as this balance was paid back in December I know this to be fact, as I had to fight with my Obstetrician's office to refund a deductible they charged me incorrectly so that I could pay the hospital fees (which is why the balance was paid late)
In May of 2015, Florida Hospital incorrectly referred this account to a different collection agency, and at that time I had to fight with them and the credit bureau to remove this from my credit report, which they did I am v
On 5/1/14, I was admitted to Florida Hospital's ER in Temple Terrace for a kidney infection and severe dehydrationI did not have any insurance, and was a cash-paying patientMy father, who helped pay a large amount of the bills, and myself, called repeatedly to follow up with FH and make sure everything was paid and doneAbout a year after the fact I had to track down an outstanding bill that I discovered through the credit bureauNow, over three and a half years after the service, I receive notice from another collection agency informing me of a bill sold to them by the hospital, though in over THREE AND A HALF YEARS I never once received notification from the original billing party (letter, phone call or email), and now, as a result of their incompetence my credit score is trashed, and if I have to pay this bill that has never previously been brought to my attention I will have to empty my savings at a time when I am trying to replace my car and plan a weddingThis is unaccepta
I was not informed about all those hospital service fees before that which is The same thing I already paid to LAB providers
In last December I went to Florida Hospital Emergency and it was my first experience with that and the reason was just checking for my IUD Through my visit no one told me about all these Hospital services And when I asked the nurse and the doctor that took my information about the cost they told me that it maximum 3000$ and they made sure to me that my insurance gonna cover this costAfter couple of weeks I received several bills from the providers and I already paid all of them
After couple of months they send a $3,bill to me for hospital servicesIt's too much for me and I haven't job yetAnd I told them all of that then they sent the bill to collections and asked me to pay $per month and that also too much for me
I went into emergency room with abdominal pain, the pain stopped they said I needed to stay and be admitted because it was my gallbladder and they were doing surgery that day or in the morning They moved me to a room no other doctor ever saw me the surgeon never came to see me to discuss as I was told he would, I was refused food, water, medication for my migraines, the attending physician would not come see me when requested I requested a patient advocate which I did not get, when the surgeon finally did show up the next morning he said he had hours to visit me I was not an emergency case and not even sure why they held me because my issues could be handled out patient This is the very short version of the story basically I was kept under information I was not given accurate information to base my decisions on I actually walked out and did not wait for discharge the next morning and now I am being billed in excess of 11,000.00! I did dispute with the hospital of course that is like the hen watching the hen house and they say they have done what they can do I would have never stayed I would have had them discharge me from the emergency room had they not told a flat out LIE and said WE ARE DOING SURGERY ON YOU! That was from the ER Doctor, of course the surgeon the next day said the ER doctor is not a surgeon and should not have said that to me! So now I guess we are all just at the mercy of the hospital and what ever they say and intelligent citizens are held hostage for fraudulent information! I am a very intelligent business person who can make intelligent decisions when I am told the truth and not lied too, the charges in excess of 11,are complete FRAUD! Keep in mind they did one CT scan that is it and I got and 11,bill something is very wrong! I had an actually surgery at Tampa General in May of and my entire bill was 8, Someone needs to do something it is no wonder Florida Hospital is growing so fast in our are, they are taking advantage and it must be stopped I have good credit pay every bill I will not pay this bill and I will suffer but that is so unfair to myself and others being robbed by Florida Hospital! How many others are they doing this too, how much money are they collecting under scare tactics and information not to mention the fact that the same attending doctor assigned to me refused to see me nor did he ever see me during my stay and he billed me! I intend to start to picket their hospital and blast them on social media and dispute every charge our citizens can not be exploited in this manner! One last thing, they documented things in my file that were not even true, said they did things they did not, that is FRAUD!
