I went into emergency room with abdominal pain, the pain stopped they said I needed to stay and be admitted because it was my gallbladder and they were doing surgery that day or in the morning They moved me to a room no other doctor ever saw me the surgeon never came to see me to discuss as I was told he would, I was refused food, water, medication for my migraines, the attending physician would not come see me when requested I requested a patient advocate which I did not get, when the surgeon finally did show up the next morning he said he had hours to visit me I was not an emergency case and not even sure why they held me because my issues could be handled out patient This is the very short version of the story basically I was kept under information I was not given accurate information to base my decisions on I actually walked out and did not wait for discharge the next morning and now I am being billed in excess of 11,000.00! I did dispute with the hospital of course that is like the hen watching the hen house and they say they have done what they can do I would have never stayed I would have had them discharge me from the emergency room had they not told a flat out LIE and said WE ARE DOING SURGERY ON YOU! That was from the ER Doctor, of course the surgeon the next day said the ER doctor is not a surgeon and should not have said that to me! So now I guess we are all just at the mercy of the hospital and what ever they say and intelligent citizens are held hostage for fraudulent information! I am a very intelligent business person who can make intelligent decisions when I am told the truth and not lied too, the charges in excess of 11,are complete FRAUD! Keep in mind they did one CT scan that is it and I got and 11,bill something is very wrong! I had an actually surgery at Tampa General in May of and my entire bill was 8, Someone needs to do something it is no wonder Florida Hospital is growing so fast in our are, they are taking advantage and it must be stopped I have good credit pay every bill I will not pay this bill and I will suffer but that is so unfair to myself and others being robbed by Florida Hospital! How many others are they doing this too, how much money are they collecting under scare tactics and information not to mention the fact that the same attending doctor assigned to me refused to see me nor did he ever see me during my stay and he billed me! I intend to start to picket their hospital and blast them on social media and dispute every charge our citizens can not be exploited in this manner! One last thing, they documented things in my file that were not even true, said they did things they did not, that is FRAUD!
