On 1/21/2020, I bought a new black 2019 Kia Sorento on a cloudy day from University Kia. The next day, the sun was shining and we saw it was covered with scratches and swirl marks. I called the dealer and told them of the damage. I was told to bring it in for them to see. My salesman and the manager saw the swirls and scratches the detail crew did when they washed it. The manager said they would buff out the scratches but would not pay to have someone else do it. I don't trust their crew to correct the problems they created.
This was the second Sorento the detail crew washed and scratched. I was there 12 days earlier to see stock ***. It was dirty so I asked them to wash it. It came back covered with swirl marks and scratches so I left.
I returned to the dealer on January 18 and again on January 21 to see and then purchase a Sorento (stock #***). The salesman said he would make sure the crew carefully washed the car. I took the car home and the next day noticed the scratches and swirls in the sunlight.

Other (requires explanation) Four professional paint correction detailers all estimated it would take 8 - 10 hours to correct the damage that was done to the clear coat. The estimates were from $495 - $600. I want to be reimbursed for a professional detailer to buff out the scratches and swirls in the clear coat.
To whom it may concern,
This client did notify us that his car had scratches and we did offer to have our professional detail department (***) re detail it and wax and buff it to take away any swirl marks that the customer may be seeing. The customer did not want us to fix it. We are still willing to wax, buff and re-detail his vehicle.
The detailers at University Kia buffed and polished out the scratches and swirls in the clearcoat of our Sorento. We are satisfied with the the result. The general manager made certain the process ran smoothly. We left with a good feeling about University Kia.
