Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] I am incredibly grateful for what the Revdex.com has done for me, on my own, this business was consistently giving me the run-around and stonewalling me from every member of management$is not particularly what I was hoping for, but it's better than absolutely nothing. However, I would like to mention that whenever confronting the manager of the complex ( [redacted] ***) asking for any sort of reimbursement, he told me that nothing could be done and refunds or reimbursements were not possible by the company, and the mere fact that the complex is able to offer me anything is evidence that they are not only capable but also willingThis particular company has given me the worst possible impression of not just apartment renting, but businesses as a whole. In addition, many parts of the company's response to the Revdex.com's request are incredibly fallaciousOn the night of the flooding, I was neither helped in moving nor moved immediatelyThe resident staff sent to investigate the flooding explicitly told me he would not help me for fear for his own life due to the potential collapsing of the ceilingAfter investigating the above unit, he instructed me to remove my valuables from my unit for fear of the ceiling collapsingHe then lit a cigarette and called maintenance, watching me move my soaked possessions from my apartmentRegarding the moving to a new unit, I was not called until 3PM the following day that I was given a new key to a new unit; I was told by the resident staff member that I needed to find somewhere to stay since they were not capable of providing me with a new key since the leasing office was closed and were the only ones that had authorization to do so.In their response to the Revdex.com, they blatantly left out the occasion that a member of their maintenance staff (not a 3rd party contractor) entered my unit and did not leave any sort of message or correspondence as per stipulated in the LeaseIn their own report of the air card log, they specifically told me AND the police that there was an unauthorized entrance almost immediately after I left to work on the day that the money was taken (the 18th of July) and made no response to it.This company is taking advantage of both me as a college student and as a customer to an illegal degree as to condone theft on their own property by their own staff and drafting inane leases that ignorant young adults are signing. If I did not need this money to sustain my own life, I would reject this resolution and demand I be given legitimate and sincere reparations from the University Oaks apartmentsNonetheless, I appreciate the effort that the Revdex.com has gone through and hope that experiences like these do not have to be accepted by other customers of this horrendous apartment complex, University Oaks Apartments at UTSA.Regards, [redacted]

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted]. I am incredibly grateful for what the Revdex.com has done for me, on my own, this business was consistently giving me the run-around and stonewalling me from every member of management. $100 is not particularly what I was hoping for, but it's better than absolutely nothing. However, I would like to mention that whenever confronting the manager of the complex ([redacted]) asking for any sort of reimbursement, he told me that nothing could be done and refunds or reimbursements were not possible by the company, and the mere fact that the complex is able to offer me anything is evidence that they are not only capable but also willing. This particular company has given me the worst possible impression of not just apartment renting, but businesses as a whole. In addition, many parts of the company's response to the Revdex.com's request are incredibly fallacious. On the night of the flooding, I was neither helped in moving nor moved immediately. The resident staff sent to investigate the flooding explicitly told me he would not help me for fear for his own life due to the potential collapsing of the ceiling. After investigating the above unit, he instructed me to remove my valuables from my unit for fear of the ceiling collapsing. He then lit a cigarette and called maintenance, watching me move my soaked possessions from my apartment. Regarding the moving to a new unit, I was not called until 3PM the following day that I was given a new key to a new unit; I was told by the resident staff member that I needed to find somewhere to stay since they were not capable of providing me with a new key since the leasing office was closed and were the only ones that had authorization to do so.In their response to the Revdex.com, they blatantly left out the occasion that a member of their maintenance staff (not a 3rd party contractor)  entered my unit and did not leave any sort of message or correspondence as per stipulated in the Lease. In their own report of the air card log, they specifically told me AND the police that there was an unauthorized entrance almost immediately after I left to work on the day that the money was taken (the 18th of July) and made no response to it.This company is taking advantage of both me as a college student and as a customer to an illegal degree as to condone theft on their own property by their own staff and drafting inane leases that ignorant young adults are signing. If I did not need this money to sustain my own life, I would reject this resolution and demand I be given legitimate and sincere reparations from the University Oaks apartments. Nonetheless, I appreciate the effort that the Revdex.com has gone through and hope that experiences like these do not have to be accepted by other customers of this horrendous apartment complex, University Oaks Apartments at UTSA.Regards, [redacted]

University Oaks are very sorry that [redacted]’ apartment flooded due to the unforeseeable break in a water line in the apartment above.  Unfortunately, these things cannot be anticipated.  The staff did help move belongings out of the apartment at 2 am and relocated [redacted] to a...

different apartment immediately.  University Oaks is not responsible for damage to personal items in an apartment.  Renters must have renters insurance and sign a form at check-in reiterating this policy.    Yes, there was a period of hot water outages over spring break when the boilers were repaired and in early summer when the massive hails storms in San Antonio damaged the boiler igniter.  In addition, there have been outages by the City of San Antonio due to city construction by the University to widen an adjacent roadway.  These city outages and storms effected all surrounding apartment communities and were not isolated to our community.  After checking the work orders for the apartment, I did notice that the refrigerator was reported as non-working four times.  This is an issue and it should have been replaced sooner.  We have recently changed the maintenance supervisor, facility manager, and the general manager to provide better customer service to the residents.  I will work with the resident to provide compensation for the food issues.  The resident, [redacted] did report that he believed that someone had entered his apartment and stolen some money.  [redacted] instructed [redacted] to file a police report with UTSA police.  The police department did not find any evidence that University Oaks staff stole any money from the apartment.  The electronic locks showed two entries.  One was to change the batteries in the lock and the other was for maintenance to the internet system.  Emails were send out to all residents stating that we should be preforming these services as we prepare for next year’s residents.  Once, again, I am sorry that [redacted]’s stay has not been to his liking.  Unfortunately, University Oaks is not willing to reimburse him for the $180 nor for 2 weeks rent as [redacted] is requesting.  We are willing to reimburse [redacted] $100 for his issues with the refrigerator.  The refrigerator should have been replaced.

Thank you for speaking with me about you issue regarding move out charges from last year.  After our discussion on the phone we agreed to remove the charges for painting as they were incurred by your roommate as you detailed.  Your account has been updated and your final account statement...

is being mailed out to your new address.  Once again thank you for your time and you should be receiving the revised statement in the next week.  Please feel free to contact me at anytime if you need additional assistance. Sincerely, [redacted]General Manager University Oaks Apartments
