I am rejecting this response because the hospital said that they would review this, but there has been no resolutionI have called to speak to Dawn [redacted] with the hospital almost every single dayShe has not returned a single phone call to me, despite this

I am rejecting this response because: Fairview is claiming that I was a new patient at their clinicsThis is not trueAlthough I had not been seen for an eye appointment at the University of Minnesota clinics, I have been seen there in the endocrinology department for over a yearI have never been billed that much for an "outpatient hospital service." The attached new patient packet is not accurate either as it is addressed to me at my StPaul address which I did not live in until August of The clinic I went to receiveservices at was not located in their new clinic location so I did not receive that packet at the time of my eye appointment

My son is 14, and mentally illI and police brought him to Cedar Riverside hospital numerous times for violent incidences, to try and get him helpThey would let him stay in a room for a few hours, give him a bologna sandwich, let him watch cartoons, and "calm down"They would then discharge him, repeatedly, and refuse to admit him to their adolescent psych unit for evaluation and treatmentHe was in their inpatient program twice, for a maximum of three days eachThey give you a schedule of all of the therapies that they will get while they are there; groups and treatment all day longHowever, every time I called or stopped by to visit, he was hanging out in the common areas, watching movies, playing with toys, swimming in the pool, and eating snacks This was during the daytime, when he was supposed to be getting evaluated and helpThe last time he was there, I told them I didn't feel safe bringing him homeFor him, because he has been suicidal, and doesn't have any impulse c
I was referred to see an eye doctor at the University of Minnesota Health Center for a regular eye check upI have not had any problems with the University of Minnesota Health Center at this pointMy family had some changes in insurance around this time and I was under new coverage from Blue Cross Blue ShieldThe receptionist took my new insurance information and neglected to tell me that insurance would not be able to cover the majority of my visitI was billed twice for the appointment: once from the University of Minnesota Physicians and a SECOND time for the same appointment from Fairview Hospitals and ClinicsI believe I should have been informed my insurance was not going to cover the majority of my bill and do not believe that I should be billed two separate times for one visitThe cost of my regular check up in total was $916.00, way higher than an eye appointment should beFairview should not be able to bill me a second time for the same appointment
