The University does not have a student (consumer) by the name of [redacted]. Her son,...
however, [redacted] is currently enrolled at the University for the spring 2016 term. Acknowledgement of his student status is considered directory information, and as such I can confirm that [redacted] is currently a student at the University of St. Thomas.
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974, as amended, prohibits postsecondary educational institutions from disclosing the education records of students to third parties without the student's written consent,
Therefore, prior to disclosing any information relative to [redacted]'s student account the university will need [redacted]'s signed and dated written consent to release information. We are unable to provide our perspective in regard to this complaint at the request of [redacted]
