In response to the complainant(s), we are very sorry to hear that University Plaza was unable to meet and exceed your expectationsWe pride ourselves on providing well maintained amenities and quality services,
and are surprised by the complaint, in general
University Plaza offers three main variations of room types between both towers which are interconnected and maintained/cleaned on a consistent scheduleWe do offer the possibility to change rooms by requesting a transfer through our Director of Student HousingIn reviewing our files we at no point received a request for a room transferIn the three years I have served as the Director of Operations, we have never denied a resident the ability to switch roomsThe complaint alleges that we ignored several room transfer requests yet we have no documentation on the matterOur room assignment/reassignment/ change procedure is clearly outlined in Section of the Residence Hall ContractAlso, University Plaza's meal service schedule is outlined in Section 5, explaining that it does not operate during any school recess in accordance with the NIU undergraduate academic schedule
While we received no notification that there was dissatisfaction pertaining to the room, we did place a call on January 30th in which we were informed *** would not be returning due to financial reasons
University Plaza strives to be the best student housing in DeKalb, and will respond proactively to any substantiated claims that we are not fulfilling the expectations of our residents or contractual obligations
