This company scams businesses by telephone solicitation for "support" of [fill-in-the-blank] athletic department with an advertisement in the sports program publication.

What they are really doing is getting the call target to agree to buy an ad in a sports publication at x times actual cost/value. The cost of actually producing and delivering the publication is a bare fraction of the money collected - all of which they keep to pay commissions and high salaries to continue their telemarketing scams. If you want to support any athletic department, just send a check directly to the department for them to apply as needed. These programs are left on the floor of the event and are not even read 90% of the time. Ultimately, you participating in creating waste and giving nothing to the athletic department - but you are lining the pockets of the commission sales people who call you.

This is not a local Company. Once they have your information they will publish and bill you for ads that are not authorized.

They have been told many times to take our name of their salutation list but they keep calling with the same scrip and wasting our time and resources.I want them to stop calling us, asking no begging for money. After hearing the same old scrip over and over it is [redacted].Desired SettlementDO NOT CALL US EVER AGAIN OR I WILL GO TO COURT!

Review: University Sports Publications has contacted our business on multiple occasions telling us that they are a representative of the DEP trying to trick us into giving them info to get tied into advertising.

Review: University Sports Publications has been contacting us in regards to a bill that they say we owe for advertising. We have asked for written or recorded verbal authorization of this advertisement but they are unable to furnish it. They are trying to collect $595 from us for a advertisement no one in our office authorized. It appears that a former manager may have advertised with this company, but that person is no longer here. University Sports Publication has appeared to take it upon themselves to take a former ad and use it without our permission. This ad is dated and incorrect and again, not authorized. We have asked them on numerous occasions to provide a signed proposal or a record authorization or stop reaching out to us. They are becoming increasingly unprofessional and have told us that "we are about to reach a whole new level of reaching out".Desired Settlement: We would like this company to stop contacting us and to stop collecting on a bill that was for unauthorized charges.

Review: I was contacted via phone by [redacted] in September 2013, and was told by [redacted] that [redacted], R[redacted] had advertised with them before and that [redacted] referred them to us again for this year. I told her at that time that I would be happy to advertise with them as long as we had used them in the past. After speaking with the owner and our accounts payable at [redacted] of [redacted] and [redacted] AP/AR Department, I was informed that we had never used this type of advertising and no one has ever heard of them. I called several times to both [redacted] and [redacted] with [redacted] and was always transferred into voice mail, every time I was forced to leave a message on voice mail I left detailed instructions to PLEASE CANCEL. Conveniently, I was contacted by a man named [redacted] from [redacted] in October of 2013 and was informed that he needed art work to put in the ad, when I informed him that I called and canceled he told me that I was to late and if I did not provide some type of art work they would just go with a typed ad. In April of 2014 I was contacted via e mail as well as USPS to submit five hundred ninety five dollars and zero cents ($595.00) to a [redacted], when I had my Assistant call to verify this was an actual company with a DBA and was told by [redacted] at the [redacted] County Clerks office no such company exists in [redacted]. I also requested at that time a copy of the actual publication and was told by a man named Brian in their billing department that he would be more then happy to forward a copy of that to me, in which I have not received and was told later by [redacted] that well its not an actual paper copy its on line.Desired Settlement: I feel that [redacted] used unethical means to extort monies from us I as I do not approve of the advertising or the validity of the company, and I feel that I should not have to pay.

Review: Employees will not honor DO NOT Call policy, harass me that it's not a sales call, yet dont state their purpose for calling. In addition, when I call the number back after being hung up on, whoever answers the phone says that this is just a message number, yet that is the number they called me from.Desired Settlement: I would like for the company to stop calling me and stop harassing me.
