After looking into this matter further, we cannot find any documentation where Ms*** requested her homeowners policy to be cancelled. We also show correspondence to Ms*** that a homeowners policy was in force for her. In we emailed Ms*** asking if she
would like an auto quote to package with her homeowners policy. In we mailed a letter to Ms*** which included a copy of her homeowners policy. Below is more information from the carrier to show information was mailed to Ms*** confirming a homeowners policy was in force. I regret that Ms*** feels this way. Based on this information, we believe Ms*** should have been aware that her homeowners policy was in force and a refund is not warranted. First, I haven't received any notification as they said until I received the cancellation notice for no paying a premium, and that is just because my mortgage has changed and they could not collect the premium again, those are just notification but its not prove that that was send to me or I receivedI work with insurance too in the quality control and compliance departmentMoreover, when I first received the cancellation notice from them and I called them regarding this policy, I told them that this was cancelled in writing as I did with the auto policy that I had with them at the same time and that auto policy was properly cancelled but this one not; the second time that I called I spoke with MsBeverly she states that they found my homeowner cancellation letter as well as the auto policy cancellation and she did not understood why one was cancelled and the other not; so she told me that she had to escalate this to the underwriting department since it was several years of collecting premium on a canceled policy, so this is a lie that they said now that they do not have an evidence of my request for cancellation; they are just being dishonest and wrongly practice business, because as I repeat, I had to cancel my auto insurance as well as the homeowner, so they had the cancellation notice that I sent; the problem is that Ms Christine J*** who was my agent at that time and who for some reason does not work there no more cancelled my auto policy but never cancelled my homeowner policy. They do have evidence of my request for cancellation of auto and homeownerif I hire a lawyer they will need to pay his fee because I will give them the evidence of my statement and prove that this agency is lying about not having an evidence that I properly cancelled both policies auto and homeowner.I demand a refund.*** ***Regards,
