Scam! They wanted payment over the phone and upfront for tutoring packages. $1400 for 28 sessions! Are you kidding me. I laughed and hung up the phone.
Review: On May 12, 2014, I purchased a "Featured Listing" from UniversityTutor.com for one year. On August 16, I received an email saying that my "Featured Listing" has been cancelled. However, I did not receive a refund of any kind. I have tried emailing and calling UniversityTutor.com for an explanation, but they are not replying at all. I just want to talk to someone to figure out what is going on. Ideally, I would like my "Featured Listing" to reappear on the website. However, if they have simply discontinued this service, I would like a refund.Desired Settlement: Ideally, I would like my "Featured Listing" to reappear on the website. However, if they have simply discontinued this service, I would like a refund.

Review: I canceled my account sometime in June of 2013. A year later I discovered that they did not cancel the recurring payments from paypal. Admittedly, I could, and have canceled them from my end. However, I do no think it unreasonable to expect that when you cancel an account, that the party on the other end cancels their recurring payments.
They received payments for 12 months of 9 dollars for services not rendered. Thus, I do not believe it unreasonable to request a refund to my paypal account in the amount of 108 dollars.
They can easily check their records that they have been taking payments from [redacted] for an account that no longer exist. I can not even access the website through any of the accounts I normally use. [redacted] or [redacted] are the other two gmail accounts I regularly use for such websites.)
I have sent two emails to them about this issue. One in July of 2014 and one last October and have heard nothing from them.Desired Settlement: A refund of 108 dollars.
Beware of scam from university tutor:Not getting any replys and try over 5 profiles when I do get a "call" it is a scam site from another tutoring site wanting money up front...
