Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2014/11/04) */
Client and I agreed that in order for this job to be done correctly she would rent a pod and remove all furniture in the home so that I could install the floor and paint and complete the job quickly and efficientlyDay of the job
client had not purchased a pod nor had she removed the furniture so I had to hire additional workers to remove the furniture however at the end of the day the furniture had to be put back we did this furniture removal and replacement for two weeks client never purchased the pod for furniture storageOn Sept client signed a change order agreeing to pay additional labor costs of $3,Also on Sept I completed the installation of the ceramic floorsThe next day I returned to finish the work (about hours worth) on her homeWhen I arrived at her home I saw that a tree had fallen on her house it was at that point client told me I was firedLater that day I received a call from the husband to come by the house that night to get my final checkWhen I arrived at the home client told me to leave and that she was going to contact the police so I left without paymentAt this point client owed $plus the additional $3,from the change order costsMore than month passed without payment so I contacted client to see about the remaining balanceClient informed me that she would not pay the additional costs so I told her that I would have pursue other remedies to get the monies owed including a lien on her homeWithin a few days client contacted the Revdex.com and filed a complaint against my company
Response to Client's Accusations:
1.) Very unprofessional, hardly ever on time if they showed at allResponse: UntrueI was extremely professional and showed up on time
2.) UNK Flooring was hired to install sqft of laminate wood flooring, remove and paint baseboards, install sqft of ceramic tile in the entryway, paint rooms, paint kitchen, paint hallway, paint all interior windows
3.) They painted my windows shut then used a razor blade to get the paint off the glass, my windows are extremely hard to open nowResponse: The windows were already hard to open It is a standard practice to scrape excess paint off of glass with a razor blade
4.) The paint is peeling off the window trimResponse: There was no peeling paint when I completed the job further paint job was completed and inspected and I was paid as per contract no complaints
5.) The kitchen was never paintedResponse: I unable to paint the kitchen because client terminated the contract before I was able to complete and client kept changing her mind about color selection
6.) The tile in the entryway is coming up and the entryway closet door is unable to open because the tile is high in some places and not in othersResponse: The floor is perfectly flat I laid ceramic tile and it raises the height of the floor therefore the door needed to be cut before it was hung I was unable to hang the door because client terminated the project before I could complete job
7.) The difference between the tile in the entryway and the laminate flooring is so significant that a transition strip won't help Response:Because the job was terminated before I was able to complete the job I was unable to install a t-molding to address the height differences
8.) He cut the wood boards around the door trim instead of cutting the trim up to the height of the flooring or simply removing itThere are boards that are cracked because if thisResponse: Client refused to pay the cost of retro fitting the doors so that the wood floor would slide under the door jam if there is damage it is because client did not retrofit doors
9.) He did the same thing in the bedroom closetsThe gaps between the wall and where he ended the floor is so wide a baseboard and quarter round won't even cover itResponse: I notched out the hardwood floors to fit around bedroom closet door jams instead of retro fitting the jams so that the wood would slide under
10.) He came to my house late that evening while my children were home demanding to be paidI called the police and he was told not to come back or he would be arrestedResponse: I was asked to come to the client's home by the client's husband when I arrived at her home client called the police
11.) He has been paid the entire contract except for $Response: Client signed a change order agreeing to pay $for additional labor costs
12.) He even received money ahead of his stated contract installmentsResponse: Not true I received payment per contract except for final and additional amount from signed change order

Any product is only as good as the quality of the installationI have attached pictures of his work
