We are sorry that you had a bad experience with UnleashedOur intention was never to embarrass or upset anyoneWe have strict policies/guidelines of not adopting out animals to individuals that are going to keep them outside for long periods of timeYou indicated to us when we questioned you on your answers that if it was a big dog you would leave outside but a small dog you wouldn'tBased on the conversation with [redacted] and [redacted] it was determined that even though the initial application was approved once further discussion was done in person that they reversed the decision to deny the application [redacted] works from home and wasn't aware at the time that staff at the shelter had denied the application when you came inStaff informed you that we wouldn't be able to adopt to you but recommended you check out some of the other rescues(specifically naming them) locally bc they didn't feel you were a bad home just that our animals weren't an appropriate fit based on our discussion with youAgain we apologize for any miscommunication and embarrassment that was caused

Unleashed Pet Rescue and Adoption asks for a reasonable donation instead of having set adoption feesThe average cost of pets in our care is $Our pets come fully vetted, appropriate to their age, which includes: Rabies, altered, vaccinated (Bordetella and DA2PPV), de-wormed, microchipped,
heartworm tested, and we provide flea/heartworm prevention while they are in our careIf adopters can afford the full $347, that is greatIf not, we ask for a reasonable donation toward that amount and they can also sign for our monthly donor program, which deducts an amount that they choose from their credit/debit card each monthAnimals can cost owners thousands of dollars a year and Unleashed requires adopters to take their new pet to the vet to purchase heartworm medication within days of adoption and to keep their new pets up to date on shotsIf Ms*** could only afford $as an adoption donation, how could she afford dog food, vet visits, and any other care *** would need? We are sorry that Ms*** is upset, but we have to think about the welfare of our animals as they count on us to find their perfect home

We are sorry that you had a bad experience with Unleashed. Our intention was never to embarrass or upset anyone. We have strict policies/guidelines of not adopting out animals to individuals that are going to keep them outside for long periods of time. You indicated to us when we questioned you on...

your answers that if it was a big dog you would leave outside but a small dog you wouldn't. Based on the conversation with [redacted] and [redacted] it was determined that even though the initial application was approved once further discussion was done in person that they reversed the decision to deny the application. [redacted] works from home and wasn't aware at the time that staff at the shelter had denied the application when you came in. Staff informed you that we wouldn't be able to adopt to you but recommended you check out some of the other rescues(specifically naming them) locally bc they didn't feel you were a bad home just that our animals weren't an appropriate fit based on our discussion with you. Again we apologize for any miscommunication and embarrassment that was caused.
