Review: My Home caught on Fire November 2014. I have received a call from Unlimited 1 adjustments that they would help me with the Fire settlement from beginning to the end. Ever since I hired them for their services, it has being nothing but a huge nightmare and a huge mistake. Every single check that I have received from my insurance company is endorsed on their name, and they receive my checks first an then mail to me.

Well, their endorsement does not work with [redacted] or [redacted] and I had to mail every single check back. I am not sure if they do that in purpose to get those funds back to them or what.

This is exactly what happened, the third check I had received for loss of rent was not accepted once again an I got very upset, so I contacted the owner and he advised me to mail him the $4,200.00 to him directly and he would deposit in his account and mail me a company check the same day.

He did deposit the check on March ** 2015, and now its over a 1 month and 10 days and I still have not received my check for loss of rent. I have called several times, they have told me several stories and its a complete nightmare to deal with them. They told me to sign a new contract with my 5% obligations as an excuse because I had already signed one when I hired them for services and I did signed the 2nd request. They told me once it was signed they would mail the check and that never happened.

Finally, they replied to my emails saying their lawyer was mailing me a letter and check two weeks ago so I got tired of waiting so I ask for their lawyers information. I called the lawyer and spoke to him. Once again I was lied to, the lawyer had no idea of any check or letter. and I still do not have my funds.

Please take this as my advice this company should not be doing business like this, they are unethical and they will do everything possible to screw you and in every way shape or form.Desired Settlement: Get my $4,200 loss of rent check

Review: We contracted with Unlimited 1 Adjustments on November * 2012 following "Super Storm Sandy" to be our representative. I am complaining about the complete lack of service provided by this company. There was absolutely no effort on their part to dispute or even review any of the insurance settlements that we received. When we asked for a copy of their own adjuster's report, we were told that they were not using that adjuster any longer, so no report was available. No other Unlimited 1 adjuster was sent out so we were left on our own to dispute the omissions and inaccuracies in the insurance company's settlement. We contacted the insurance company's adjusters ourselves and did what we thought we had contacted Unlimited 1 Adjustments to do. We forwarded the 10% fee to Unlimited 1 Adjustments as soon as we received any payment to comply with our part of the agreement. Now we realize how foolish we were to do so, since all the company did was take out 10% of what the insurance company would have paid anyway if we had no contract. We sent in a form on March **,2013 ending our contract when we realized that nothing was being for us at all. As a matter of fact the insurance company never received proper documentation from Unlimited 1 Adjustments this HINDERED the resolution of our claim. This was information that we had provided to Unlimited 1 months before. During the time we were with Unlimited 1 Adjustments we never heard from them unless we called first ,then we were told "we,ll get back to you" and then never heard again until we called back. Their own adjuster said at the end,"I know we did nothing for you." The company president Mr. [redacted] called and apologized to us and said even though we ended our relationship, he would help us. He was going to send out a new adjuster, but of course this was not done. Seven months later we are still dealing with our insurance company . We feel this treatment was unconscionable and added insult to injury after suffering so much from Super Storm Sandy.Desired Settlement: Refund the fees ($2380.97) which we paid in good faith so we don't need to feel we have been victimized twice.

To Whom It May Concern:

Please let this letter serve as our formal response to the recently received complaint from [redacted]. On 11/**/12 following Hurricane Sandy Unlimited 1 Adjustments entered into a contract with the [redacted]. The Contract called for Unlimited 1 Adjustments to perform the following services, which included but not limited to (Corresponding. communicating, negotiating with Insurance adjusters and Insured) . Absolutely every effort was made on our part to dispute and review the Insurance company's settlement on behalf of the [redacted]. Our review of the building settlement led to advising Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] that they should file a supplement, so that they could get more on their estimate.

The [redacted]'s requested that Unlimited 1 Adjustments provide a builder's report not an adjusters report. Prior to receiving the cancelation notice our firm was in communications with the insurance company adjuster. There are numerous e-mail communications and phone logs detailing what our firm has done in reference to this claim. The [redacted], despite contracting with us went ahead and contacted the insurance company adjuster on their own. This Interfered and hindered our efforts on behalf of the [redacted]. They did not understand the Insurance lingo or procedure told to them by the insurance adjuster as a result, they formulated their own opinions and felt we were not doing our job.

Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] did pay us our firm's fee in good faith. It was a fee well deseived as It was our efforts, e-mail communications, phone calls etc. that got them their Initial settlement On 3/**/13 the [redacted]'s did decide on their own to end their contract with our firm because the first phase of the claim was done, which was the Initial settlement and now they wanted to file a supplement on the claim and did not want to pay us another fee when they received the supplement payment.

As far as the Insurance company not receiving proper documentation from us, that is incorrect. Our office has all the documents that were sent to the Insurance company logged with description, dates and times. All information was verified as received by the Insurance adjuster.

Attached, is a copy of our log for yoU!· review.

Unlimited 1 Adjustments remained in contact with Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] as often as needed and provided them with updates as we received them. When the [redacted] called our Firm we assisted and addressed all their Issues. Despite Unlimited 1 Adjustments efforts to address their concerns, the [redacted] were simply fiustrated with the amount of time it was taking to settle on their claim. It Is important to note that all insurance companies, at the time of Hurricane Sandy, where overwhelmed with claims and doing the best they could with the manpower that they had. Unlimited 1 Adjustments was no exception.

Our Firm feels we provided the best possible seivlce to the [redacted]. We regret the fact that the [redacted] were not satisfied with our services.

Sincerely,

Unlimited 1 Adjustments, LLC

To Whom It May Concern:

In reference to complaint reply submitted by [redacted] in where they believe we were not doing enough on their behalf. We are enclosing copies of documentation showing that our staff did correspond with the adjuster from [redacted] which was hired by National Flood Insurance Program. We submitted documents on behalf of the insured. The adjuster repeatedly asked for more details and revisions on the documentation. This along with the high volume on Hurricane Sandy claims caused a delay on many claims including the [redacted]s. At the time of all correspondence between the [redacted]s and Unlimited 1 Adjustments, LLC they seemed pleased and satisfied with all we were doing on their behalf. Please take note of a specific E-mail dated March **, 2013, this clearly states their reasons for wanting to end the contract were not based on the actions of our firm.

The [redacted]s signed a contract with Unlimited 1 Adjustments, LLC agreeing to pay 10% of their

settlement When an invoice was sent to the [redacted]s they paid without dispute.

We again would like to bring attention to the fact that National Flood Insurance Program has had other issue with various claims in where they have delayed multiple claims causing lawsuits to be filed against them. We reali ze the frustration the [redacted]s must feel about this however we believe they are placing their efforts in the incorrect direction .

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:. We were tying to be polite in our e mails so as to not antagonize the people "working" on our case. We complained numerous times by phone that they were not keeping us up to date on any progress.

This is no evidence that any offers made by the insurance companies was contested or disputed by Unlimited 1.

We paid their fee as payment was received, thinking that this would encourage them to to advocate on our behalf. For example, We held on to the check from our homeowners for several weeks as suggested by A1 . When I called back weeks later, I was told to deposit the check, nothing was challenged at all I think they forgot about it. As required we forwarded their fee.

When we contracted withA1, we thought ,we did not have to deal with the Insurance companies on our own,but this is exactly what we wound up doing.

We paid on time because this was the right thing to do.In retrospect we should have waited until the claims we all settled, which by the way only happened a few weeks ago.
