the customer's vehicle in December All repairs and costs were explained, as we do with all of our customers, and the work was completed, signed off on, and the customer took the vehicleThe customer came back the following June, stating that the chrome strip on the bumper was popping offDavid contacted the dealer for a replacement, however it was not approved because they said it was not defective from themDavid then contacted the manufacturer and they said they were going to look into it and get back to himWhen he contacted the manufacturer the second time, they would not send a replacement saying at this point it is wear and tearThis was explained to the customer, along with the explanation of how the molding comes with the chrome strip and double-sided tape already on it (see attached pictures) from the manufacturer, and was not due to the repairs that were made and assured her it was not a safety issueEven still, David wanted to make the customer happy and fix the problem, so he told her that he would order the part at his own expense, to call in a couple of weeks to make sure it was in and he would change it at no chargeHowever, she must have misunderstood when he said that the molding also needed to be painted to the color of her carUnfortunately, when the customer called the following week, the part was still not in, he assured her it would be in next week to either call back or just stop by, but she never did, and the part has been sitting in the office for about monthsWe have again spoken to the customer to attempt to make an appointment to resolve this issue and come back in at her convenience, with the other owner if she prefers, and are awaiting her call backOur goal is to please our customers and have them happy and completely satisfied with their car and their experience with our shop, and we hope to resolve this issue soonWe apologize for any inconveniencesSincerely, David M*** Jose R*** Unlimited Auto Body & Collision, LLC

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
I would like to say that Unlimited Auto Body in Stamford CT did fix my car at no cost.  A woman notified me right away anout the situation and was very kind. She explained that the owner had new part for my car in the office but could not find my info. What matters is my car js fixed and Jose was very nice about it! Hopefully, there will be no more problems with this part. Thank you for your help! [redacted]
