Unlimited Design

In response to the claim against me (Unlimited Design Inc.) I was hired to demo the kitchen, laundry room, foyer, and powder room floor, and replace with new tiles which was completed. Upon finishing this the customer asked if I do some additional work which includes installing new doors, paint, install all new kitchen appliances, toilet and vanity also re install they existing washing machine, I said to them I am not a license plumber but I know how to install it, they said they don't care and if I could still do it for them. Appliances were being install when it was available as they were still purchasing items. I installed the door when I asked for the door lock they told me they don't have any at the moment, I install the toilet asked for the vanity they don't have it, to help speed the process and good gesture I offered to pick up the vanity from the manufacturer however it was on back order for weeks. I couldn't sit around and wait for it as I have other jobs to start. They never mention once about any damages except for a leak in the bedroom from the kitchen upstairs. I fix this and also shampoo the entire carpet in the basement not only where the leak was and this is the only damage I am aware of. They were other damages to the carpet from old leaks from their laundry room into the bathroom downstairs also from when their furnace was being replace they were dirt from the furnace all the way to the door. I even try to clean that but it was old and couldn't be cleaned. The bulk head was already ripped out because the home owners were looking for pipes. As for the old appliances I was told to move it downstairs that they will put it in their old kitchen when they have time, as for the vent it was installed properly. I did not run a new vent, I explained that it needed a bigger exhaust because the exhaust that was going out was small I was told to install it anyway that it's fine. The paint job that was done they told me that a few spots need a little touchup which I also did. I told them when you get the door handles and vanity call me and I will come back and install it. I received another phone call saying that the stain was still there, I said ok I will replace the carpet they never reply and to my knowledge this is the only damage that I am aware of and was ever mention to me throughout the time I worked on their house. When the vanity did arrived I had already start other jobs and responded two days after, at this time I received a phone called saying that they will cut their loss for the damages I did to their house and they will hire someone else to finish the job. I told them that's fine however I already invested a lot in materials for this job so you can fire me but you will have to pay me for the work done so far. I never once refused to do any work that I was asked to do and no one never mention any issue except the carpet which I offered to replace. . All the damages to the basement were existing when we got there. I have many satisfied customers and never had this problem before. I do not advertised my business because I don't have to, all my jobs are word of mouth referrals and it is unfortunate that this customer were unsatisfied. I mailed them an invoice and deduct the cost for the carpet for $400. However I received a quote from them for $1,200 to replace the carpet. I revised the invoice to compensate for their quote before it can be mailed I received this complain. Throughout this entire issue I worked with this customer to resolve their issues and concerns as for the keys they never responded to my emails or phone calls and would gladly arrange to drop it off. I will be revising the invoice and resending to the customer for the balance. They also mention they paid taxes twice not sure how they came to that conclusions ***.

It is clear this customer made up false claims so that they do not have to pay for work that was completed. I want to thank everyone over at Revdex.com who assisted in this matter.
