GP general contracting was hired to put the new rubber roof on where the roll roofing was failing. We removed six layers of roofing and put on the rubber roof in the area as specified per the contract signed at closing. As everyone knows it...

was a very wet spring and cold. When we get signed contracts they go in order as to when the work is done with all the rain this spring we were way behind on roofs. The buyers agent and the seller's agent both understood and had no concern. As far as the pipe that acts as a drain for the flat roof it was not hooked to anything inside the garage there for water would pour out of it into the garage. Major issue is the area around the roof that we not contracted to repair has wood handrails that penetrate that area of the garage.. We were not hired to do anything with this area and it is a major cause of the current leaks. The missing shingles were replaced on the main roof which to my understanding caused no water damage whatsoever due to the fact that the house had multiple layers of shingles it was a cosmetic issue. In the end GP general contracting completed all worked as outlined in their contract with the buyer and the seller . I believe if there was an issue with the work done by GP general contracting that I would've heard from one or both of the realtors. There were many conversations during the process of this roof going on and at the end of the day my contract was completed and I was paid by the real estate agents. The seller actually paid me extra out of his own pocket because of the unforeseen 6 layers of existing roofing . [redacted] President GP General Contracting Inc.

I can't speak for all of the realtors, but mine was told by her boss to back down because it was getting in to a legal issue. At least 3 clear, sunny days preceded the day the roof was torn off, proceeded by a downpour, soaking all of my things in my garage. Even now, the "new" roof is on, but things still get rained on. My leaky roof was replaced with a leaky roof and I feel like I was personally attacked. This conversation is getting non-productive. I am done with this issue. I did what I was hired to do I did not break the drain pipe and the homeowner handles the situation in a very immature way.
