We have confirmation now by a professional, reputable auto repair/rebuild service company that less than 20% of the items MrL*** has now claimed to have accomplished have not been done The services MrL*** had claimed to have accomplished and what I had paid for was not done, the steering system and chassis damage leaves the vehicle unsafe to drive and certainly not road worthy We will be providing specific proof with photos, estimates, and emails from his company

To Whom it may concern, [redacted] is simply trying to get out of paying the balance due for work requested by him. This matter has been turned over to my attorney for collection. I've been coming to Unlimited for years now, both for the occasional collision and mechanical work, and also a full restoration of my classic 'baby'. I can honestly say I've never experienced a higher class of service and more importantly honesty than Chad and his team. Before beginning the restoration work I shopped around extensively and heard many horror stories about other shops prior to finding Chad. Looking at the shops (he recently expanded due to the increased business) you can tell a lot about the quality of the work. They keep a clean and modern facility, far better than the grease monkey shops in the area so call themselves restoration shops. Where the real gem lies though is in Chad and his team. Chad knows cars, all cars, basically anything with at least 2 wheels. He is a master at everything from showclass bodywork to racing engines to rock crawling 4x4s. The most important part is that he is HONEST and fair to a fault. I put my trust in him when it was time to spend some big $$ on a restoration project, and could not have been more satisfied. They really just want to provide outstanding work at a fair price, it's refreshing. Chad's work is his reputation, and as such he builds every car as if it were his own.
I spent a lot of time at that shop watching my project car come together, and got to know the employees and also see the numerous other projects progress. Chad treats every customer like the most important one, even the occasional pain in the [redacted] customers. If you are involved at all in the showcar, racing, or classic car world you'll know that chad's reputation is legendary. And I'm writing this to tell you it's all true!! I will never bring my cars anywhere but Unlimited Motorsports.

To whom it may concern, The original estimate for the paint job on [redacted] vehicle was $7000.00 The original estimate for the motor conversion was $10000.00 both are documented in writing that we both went over.  I have a signed contract from [redacted] that clearly states that I get...

paid by the hour for my services plus parts and applicable tax. When the car came in originally it was to just get painted nothing more. We immediately started on the job. Then he inquired about the motor conversion.  I came up with an estimate and said that it would depend on how much we spent on parts and what we actually ended up doing as I get paid by the hour. At that point he gave the ok to start looking for parts. We tried to locate the parts and came up short as the motor and transmission combo he requested was expensive and hard to find. We ended up purchasing a [redacted] as a doner car for the conversion which cost $6500.00 in which he was notified and approved the purchase. He had planned on selling the rest of the unused car to try and recoup some of the additional investment of buying a whole car rather than just a motor and transmission. So there was the additional cost of the car which he was aware of plus the extra labor to dismantle the doner car. After we started installing the motor into [redacted] car there were some items that needed to be replaced such as the clutch, throw out bearing the alternator and some other misc. parts in which he was notified in advance before any purchase was made. During this process we were always struggling to get paid bu [redacted]. We work off of a draw of deposits and I am not in the business of building cars and putting people on a payment plan and hope they can pay me. During this time [redacted] sold the doner car to someone and the car still had parts we needed to complete the job. We now had to purchase those parts again as the doner car was no longer here. The  doner car was sold with no paperwork at night out of my parking lot without my approval. The gentleman that bought the car called me for months looking for the paperwork for the car  and I would not give it up because [redacted] did not pay me for the car yet so technically the car he sold still belonged to me. He eventually paid me and I released the paperwork. (I still have the gentlemans number for confirmation of this. He also stated that once he paid [redacted] couldn't get out of there fast enough and left him in my parking lot in the dark with no help and no paperwork) During the time in working on [redacted]s project he added many additional items such as complete suspension rebuild both front and rear, he wanted to paint the underside of the car complete in which it two days to clean all the mud out from underneath the car because [redacted]s son had taken the car off road in a muddy feild. There was an issue with the fitment of the motor and had to extensively modify the frame to correct the situation and many more situations all of which [redacted] was notified prior to doing anything. As I stated before [redacted] was anything but reliable with the deposits to allow me to work on his car. It was always I'll see you tomorrow and then 2 months would go buy and we never saw him. At one point he owed us money as we got a little ahead of the deposits and we had to wait 7 months to be able to continue (have documentation). Once we had a deposit to continue work I sat down with [redacted] to ask him if we were going to be able to continue uninterruptedly with the project He assured me there would be no problems going forward. So against my better judgement I proceeded to move forward with the project. Upon starting back up with the project [redacted] and his son came into my shop to remove the interior and was going to take the seats and all related parts home to clean them him self to save some money. The interior and parts never came back to my shop. [redacted] had told me he was going to sell the seats in favor for a new set as the old ones didn't clean up too good. I sent [redacted] an E-mail stating it was the end of the year and I wanted to close out the open repair orders and needed to get paid for the tax that was due on the job and he said he could not pay it. It was at that point I asked him to please make arrangements to remove the car from my shop despite there being a balance owed as I do not have the room to store peoples cars that I am not working on. I am working with my attorney to collect the balance due for work that was done.  The car left my shop uncompleted and was not road worthy because of lack of payment to complete the job. As for any financial issues I am not aware of and on my part as my business has grown tremendously in the last 3 years. I think [redacted] is confused with his own current foreclosure and bankruptcy issues.  I have been in business a long time and done many projects all of which turned into more work because of happy customers. Anything else That is needed I am here to help...       Sincerely                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  Chad L[redacted] Pres.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Unlimited Motorsports and Paint inc.

Review: Chad L[redacted] the "professional" owner provided us with an estimate to repair/rebuild a classic car with an estimate not to exceed $10,000.00 and a completion date of 4-6 months. He continued to complain about money problems throughout the time he claimed to have been working on the car and asked for more and more money where the costs practically tripled with little to no progress on the vehicle. After his lies and deception and the failure to provide any receipts of the work he had done we told him we would not give him any more money since he had promised that the last three checks each time he'd be complete with the project.

We sent a tow truck over to his shop where we picked up our car that had 10% of what he claimed had already been done to the car. The car had NEVER been running as he stated, the paint job that he promised for almost two years he did in (2) hours one evening when he was preparing to ask us for more money again. He failed to return the majority of the interior parts. Three the parts inside the car and left it outside in the dirt parking lot and poor weather.

I was warned towards the end of our issue with Mr. Chad L[redacted] that his financial issues and problems were going to cost his customers thousands. The work he did on the car was so unsafe and unprofessional that I am unfortunately being forced to use legal action to get our money refunded. The car is at a professional rebuilder that has put together a very extensive list of missing items, and VERY unsafe work that would put my family and I in a very unsafe predicament of we were to drive the car as Mr. Chad L[redacted] had stated was in perfect shape.Desired Settlement: We have offered to Mr. Chad L[redacted] to refund any and all monies paid to him for any and all services he had claimed to have done to the car. We would like a refund of $35,000.00 to get the car where Mr. Chad L[redacted] stated it was and to replace all the missing parts he did not return to us.
