I feel like the world deserves to know how poorly *** conducts business.
He owns several buisnesses,
Including unlimited self storage, a climate and temperature controlled storage facility.
We have had all of our belongings. EVERYTHING, in this unit.
A month ago we were informed by phone that there was minimal water in the units next to us only 2 inches, in which the office manager actually called her own self out yesterday on that lie!
She told us there was actually 2 to 3 ft of water damage!
She also informed us YESTERDAY, that a year ago they had a terrible RAT problem. Which we could tell, given our clothes and all our other belongings were chewed on and covered in rat feces and urine.
We asked to speak to the owner yesterday SEVERAL times, we were at the facility from 9 am to 2:30pm, he was also there at times during this time.
He AVOIDED US, actually walked out of the office and left KNOWING my husband was waiting to speak to him! We called and called, with 0 response. Office manager giving us the run around, saying they hardly can ever get ahold of him (what kind of business owner is that?) We emailed her all of the photos of our damage per her request.
He EMAILS us back KNOWING we have been calling over and over.
We decided we've had enough of the games, went back to the facility today.
We see they still have water leaking in their TEMP AND CLIMATE CONTROLLED UNITS, and even though it was a design flaw to the facility, HE WILL NOT HELP US! He was only willing to give us free or discounted rent.
WHY WOULD I WANT TO CONTINUE TO RENT YOUR FLAWED UNIT?
So, now we sit with over $4000 worth of water damage caused by THEIR FACILITIES DESIGN FLAW.
We have photos and videos galore.
Majority of our belongings are covered in black mold, and rodent feces. This is A HUGE HEALTH CONCERN!
THERE IS ACTIVE LEAKS RIGHT NOW!
There was a water leak at our storage facility. We
have since identified the source of the leak and will continue to monitor it in
the future to help avoid future leaks. The contract with the customer
contains several provisions regarding the customer’s assumption of the risk of
loss to property and the customer’s obligation to insure the property.
The customer was to provide their own insurance for the property or they could
have obtained insurance through our facility. They chose to do neither.
In accordance with the terms of our contract, the cost to replace the
damaged items is their sole responsibility. We are terribly sorry for the
customer’s loss and we have already offered three months of free rent, which they declined. We have not provided you with a copy of the entire contract
because it would identify the name of the customer. However, the
attachment included with this response includes the pertinent portions of the
contract.

I am rejecting this response because:They advertise their units as climate controlled, rain storm flooding our storage unit is not climate controlled. This is FALSE ADVERTISING!We were also lied to about how bad the flooding was, we were told "2 inches"We had a MINIMUM of 3 ft high of water damage to our property.False advertising and lying, is why we chose not to accept the ONE month free rent he actually offered us.Who wants to rent a storage facility that lies, cheats, and steals?
