Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I find Kids Place condescendingThe initial reason for my email was the fact I felt mislead and over charged and had an unwelcoming experience; for example when I first walk in several staff members saw me and never greeted me, I had to seek out an employee to ask questions , keep in mind the Ferry street location is quite smallThe pre embroidered shirts at the subject of controversy are listed as" ss oxfords " on my receipt costing $each then, there was the name of the school written twice separately at $3:each underneath them without explanation on the receipt or by the cashier who's attitude was rushed and unfriendly he never spoke except to tell me the price, this gave the impression that the school logos had to be put on in the storeIn his haste he rang up a book bag that was left on the counter by someone else instead of making sure it was apart of my order; after realizing this I spoke with the manager asked for an explanation of the :"ss oxfords" then had this unwanted book bag I did not put on the counter to be exchanged for one of my child's school ties rather than a cash refundI then took my business to the Elizabeth Kids Place location where as I stated previously the overall experience and out come was much betterI found some items cheaper; between the two locations I spent almost $dollars on merchandise with the bulk of my purchase being made in ElizabethIt is inaccurate and a bit insulting for corporate to have such a dismissive attitude towards my experience at the Ferry Street storeConsidering all the money I spent with your business, to minimize or imply it is without merit my complaint about the circumstances surrounding the $purchase is an insult if every thing was clear I would not have written a complaint by email Regards, [redacted]

We have two store locations one in Elizabeth and another one in NewarkOur first priority is to make our customers happyWe provide uniforms for our customers on a regular basisAs a courtesy to our customers we carry merchandise pre- embroider with the school logo at the storesThe price of the
embroidered logo runs from $to $depending on the school and the type of logoThe garment itself has a costWe have signs posted thru out the stores with the price of the embroidery that clearly states that embroideries have and additional feeIf the customer has to place a special order to get an embroidery on a garment, the wait time is to weeksThat is why we always try to keep merchandise in stock so that our customers don't have to waitBoth of our stores operate on the same pos (point of sales) system Prices will be identical at both locationsIf for any reason a customer was charged differently, we will gladly give them a refund for the overchargeCustomer must show proof that they were overchargedWe will gladly supply pictures of actual signage displayed at the store

I am rejecting this response because: I  find Kids Place condescending. The initial reason for my email was the fact I felt mislead and over charged and had an unwelcoming experience; for example when I first walk in several staff members saw me and never greeted me, I had to seek out an employee to ask questions , keep in mind the Ferry street location is quite small. The pre embroidered shirts at the subject of  controversy are listed as" ss oxfords "  on my receipt costing $16.99 each then, there was  the name of the school written twice separately at $3:99 each underneath them without explanation on the receipt or by the cashier who's attitude was rushed and unfriendly he never spoke except to tell me the price, this gave the impression that the school logos had to be put on in the store. In his haste he rang up a book bag that was left on the counter by someone else instead of making sure it was apart of my order; after realizing this I spoke with the manager asked for an explanation of  the :"ss oxfords" then had this unwanted book bag I did not put on the counter to be exchanged for one of my child's school ties rather than a cash refund. I then took my business to the Elizabeth Kids Place location where as I stated previously the overall experience and out come was much better. I found some items cheaper; between the two locations I spent almost $400 dollars on merchandise  with the bulk of my purchase being made in Elizabeth. It is inaccurate and a bit insulting for corporate to have such a dismissive attitude towards my experience at the Ferry Street store. Considering all the money I spent with your business, to minimize or imply it is without merit my complaint about the circumstances surrounding the $41.96 purchase is an insult if every thing was clear I would not have written a complaint by email.
