February 10, 2017Dear ***,I am writing in regards to a letter received concerning complaint ID ***.As *** *** stated there was a contract signed on 8/11/between *** *** and Untouchable RoofersThis contract was, however, for repairs to the roof at *** *** *** not a
new roof as stated in the complaintI have included a copy of the signed contract and noted where this is stated in the contractThis was also verbally explained to *** *** during the initial inspection of the roof by our chief estimatorEvery client receives a telephone call from myself after the inspection with an explanation of what was foundDuring my telephone conversation with *** *** it was also explained that these were repairs and not a complete new roofThe contract was signed by *** *** after these conversations took place.Our office tried to contact *** *** numerous times through phone calls, messages on social media and we even had our crews stop by the residence multiple times to set up a date to complete the projectWe can not, legally, access any roof, even with a signed contract, without the owner being aware and giving permission for the date of access.I have included printouts of the messages through social media to not only *** *** but also to a woman who shares her last name and is a mutual friend of *** *** on social mediaThese have been included to show the extent we have taken to get this project completed.Our company gave *** *** a payment plan for not only the down payment but also for the remaining balance*** *** broke this agreement by taking longer than agreed upon to get the down payment paidWe do not usually give payment plans but we knew *** *** would not be able to get the work done any other way due to being on a fixed income as she statedOur company, as stated in the message to *** ***, would usually reevaluate the roof after days due to price changes in material and usually the price is increasedKnowing *** *** financial status We did not want to charge her any extra money So we agreed, verbally with *** *** in a phone conversation about a week after the social media message was sent, that she would pay the $balance at project completionShe stated she would contact us as soon as she had the balance available which she has yet to doWe have made multiple phone calls and visits to the residence since with no avail.Untouchable Roofers would like to get this project completed as soon as possible as it takes our business time to make continuous phone calls and property visitsIn business, time is money and our time is being wasted trying to reach *** ***We have been more than fair, going out of our way to help *** *** financially, especially by not asking for additional fees we would normally charge at this point.Thank you, Lori K
