The unit was failed on the visual component by the USEPA certified lead risk assessor who conducted the clearance because some of the paint stabilization work that was required to be done by the agency, ***, was not done. David B., the technician from unyse arrived on site at ** *** on
11/30/15. He proceeded with the visual inspection, the living room and dining room passed visual inspectionHe then moved on to the basement as it was the next area listed, the tenant asked if the basement had to be done and I replied “yes, if it is on the list”As I entered the basement it was clear that the work was not preformed the floor and support posts were still in a damaged conditionThe tenant then tried to tell him that the floor wasn’t paintedHe then proceeded to the Attic which was next on the list, he saw that the stairs were not paint stabilized and did not proceed with the rest of the atticHe informed the tenant that the unit failed visual inspection and he would not be taking any dust samples, since the work required by *** was not completedHe then gathered up the tool kit and left the residenceIt is our policy to get paid in advance of the technician arriving at the property. No refunds are given due to the fact that the property fails any part of the inspection process. The fact of the matter is that the required work was not completed and that the technician could not perform their duties in their entiretyFollowing the visit, unyse contacted the landlord and the agency requiring the clearance test to inform them of the situation
