I am unable to locate this account in our systemI searched the name, phone #, and e-mail provided and found nothing matching With more information I could confirm the validity of the complaint and if it is in fact being collected by UPG provide the consumer with validation of the debt

This company committed blatant violations of state and federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Acts, including threatening criminal prosecution and calling well before 9:am In addition, they misrepresented the existence of the debt and arbitrarily added additional "fees" increasing the alleged debt to more than double the amount of the original alleged debt They hounded me even after I sent a request for details about the alleged debt and only after reporting them are they finally agreeing to drop the matter It is because of companies like this that Fair Debt Collection Practices laws exist and this company should not be allowed to escape responsibility They had every chance to stop bothering me after the third, fourth and fifth phone calls
