The business pre-certifies the clients and is aware of the co-pay that each is required regardless of a minute or minute visit and as most offices due, would have sent a invoice out anyway indicating that the payment was due or that the insurance payment was received This is just another way that the office is gouging its customers and is deceptive in nature
[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: The insurance company has informed me that the office pre-registered / confirmed the insurance and the copay prior to the visit They therefore knew that the copay was $ The practice is deceptive and just another way for the doctors office to gouge the consumer.Regards, [redacted]
March 12, 2015Dear *** ***We received the response for Complaint # ***As I had previously stated, we are not disputing that the patient had a co-pay and that we knew the amount of the co-pay at the time the patient came into our officeI noted in my prior letters the reason for the additional $fee for not paying the co-pay at the time of serviceThe patient, who is considered an adult, had signed our financial pollcy where it clearly stated there would be an additional charge if the co-pay was not paid at the time of service, this is also on our website and on a sign at the front deskI have nothing further to add to the prior two letters I had sent in response to the complaint and feel I have adequately addressed the issue.Sincerely yours,Judy FManager of Business Operations

This is just another way that the office is gouging its customers and is deceptive in nature.

They therefore knew that the copay was $15.00. The practice is deceptive and just another way for the doctors office to gouge the consumer.Regards,[redacted]
