UPS Store #1635 Reviews (2)

Review: We are a winery who shipped wine (tracking #[redacted]) to a club member located in Yuba City, California. The usual route driver ([redacted]) was off that day and a subsitute driver left the wine on the front porch when the people were out of town for 3 days (wine was damaged). The driver made up a first name and signed as if leaving the package with a person over 21, however this was later proved to be a lie when this claim was investigated. [redacted] told the customer there has been other complaints about this driver and he is no longer driving for UPS. I provided photos and emails from our wine club member showing the box sitting on their porch when they got home and the damaged sustained. After investigating [redacted] from UPS contacted me and said the claim would be approved for refund and the approved claim number was #[redacted] and I would receive a document I needed to fill out for the refund to be processed. After doing so, I received a call this morning (7-27-15 @ 10am) from [redacted] in the AZ customer service office and she said the claim would not be refunded because they do not refund "perishable items". I told her this wine should never have been left on the porch as it is a Federal Law that a person over 21 yrs of age MUST sign for it. She said they had a signature, and I explained that the investigation proved that the subsitute driver had made up a first name (no last name) and signed himself. She said because it was a perishable food item they could not help me.We feel this should be refunded based on the fact the drive broke the law/policy regarding leaving alcohol without the signature of a person 21 yrs of age. This is a federal law! But customer service refuses to refund. The amount is $249.80Desired Settlement: We have had to refund the customer, and we would like a refund to the business for that loss.

Review: I dropped a package off at The UPS Store and now it seems to have been misplaced.

I dropped a package off at the UPS Store on Stabler lane in Yuba City between November 21, 2013 and November 27, 2013 and now my package is reported as "lost". I have tried on several occasion to get the manager to look at the video footage so they can see what happened and they have yet to do anything. The part I lost is a 21 pound differential from [redacted]. It was being sent to Delaware, Ohio. It was a prepaid shipping label from FedEx and I saw the front desk clerk scan the box and place it on the floor. I'm am still looking for the receipt, however I don't want them to give me anything I just want the package shipped.Desired Settlement: I would like my package shipped to the intended receiver or reimbursed for the item that was in there; which is a differential for a Ford 9". It carries a cost of $439.48.
